Well THAT was a game! Impressed overall with the speed we played the game from the start, some ups n downs for sure, but this seemed to be a more complete game.
Perron played like the Isles stole his lunch money...twice. Sprong is a VERY nice surprise; boomer shot, physical, good passing. Husso stood on his head at times, kept the guys in the game, and overall penalties were down, but that last one put is on our heals....and we paid for it. But there wasn't dead time after the game was tied. Compher's a revelation; great at the dot and a good shooter.
Is it me, or is Mo Sides just a bit "different" this year? He's doing well on the score-sheet for sure. He's not playing as heavily as last year. As I watched him play tonight, it seemed like he was playing a more sublime game because he's got hitters this year so he doesn't have to play heavy and can use his offensive ability....does that make sense? I like what I see with him, make no mistake, I just see him being pushed around a bit more but skating like a beast and scoring like he's truly capable of.
Good game, good 10-game run. |

Nice come back! Love the 3rd period fight this team has!! No roll over and play dead when down! I surely did not expect Sorkin to give up 3 in the 3rd. Peron almost spoiled the game with that penalty. Compher is looking like a great pick-up! Copp was slow and out of position. Walman is looking like a steal and the best value contract on the team.
Panthers lost tonight against the Bruins in OT, and had 2 more injuries. Wings should be able to take them Thursday if they keep their scoring touch. |

Not sure how I finagled it, but got DTV to drop Center Ice price to $45 for the year........played on the fact that I've been with them for 25 years, blah blah blah.... So when I watch the games, I record on the CI channel and watch of Bally. The good thing about Bally now is that they show the post-game stuff so I get to watch the wrap ups from every game.
I'm happy with what I've seen thus far. Despite the few game crumble, I think this team has shown vast improvement over the last several years. There's going to be a huge fight to get to the SCPO, and would THINK it's only going to be a WC slot, probably the 2d WC slot. But this team COULD surprise. We have a ton of work to do, for sure, but what we saw last night was the fight that seldom showed itself last year, and years past. That never-quit attitude is what helps team climb the standings.
Gonna be an up-n-down year for sure, but I think we're not too awful far away from being a team to take notice of........ |

Always nice to come away with 2 points when your top line has a rough game. |

Gotta love the Compher can do no wrong and Copp is brutal takes when they’ve both been as equally meh this season. |

And there we have it, an exciting come from behind victory on the road against a good goalie and the prince of darkness appears in here to criticize the top line and the other posters.
I wish I had the ability to just mentally skip right past those posts to the other positive people.
(and this is where he will say he is not negative, just realistic) |

Didn’t realize saying it’s nice to get 2 points was negative.
Also are you suggesting the top line played well? |
