Bo Horvat, Jack Eichel, Sam Bennet, Josh Norris, Dylan Cozens and Pierre-Luc Dubois to name a few were traded at 27 or younger if thats what you mean by "got" moved. Also what is a top 6 centre? Stutzle won less than 200 draws last season, he's not even the top centre on OTT. Did any of the wingers you named get "moved"? Now we're going further back in time. My winger list would grow exponentially. I'll give you Horvat. Eichel forced a trade. So maybe I'll add Tkachuk to my list then. Bennett was traded long before he became the player he is today. Norris, Cozens, and Dubois don't really belong in this conversation.

No the article didn't refer to a trade. But it's implied. If Caufield is the superior player than one would be pretty thrilled trading Stutzle to acquire him. No GM would ever do that. Stutzle is far, far more valuable.
