He runs a good PP, SJ has good power play players... it's a fit in my books.

Hey with PDB there that was already a good possibility. Oates will run a good PP though so you can be happy with that if he does join the sharks staff.

I sure hope not. I think, Yzerman might have to trade one of the defensemen to keep him. They have a lot of guys making over 4 mil, with Hedman's contract up in 2 years, 1 year after they have to sign Stamkos. They have to resign Kuch this year, Stamkos next year, Hedman, Palat, Johnson and Bishop(maybe), the year after. And that doesn't include Coburn, Killorn.

I said months ago that Drouin would have to be traded.

I don't think we would get two first, unless we trade with Winnipeg, even that I would probably trade down to like CBJ first, than trade with Winnipeg to pick up more assets. I don't know if Connor would be at 17th though.

I want both of these guys. The only way I can see us getting them is if we trade down to CBJ or SJ. A trade with LA for Richards would include their first or that's what I would want, the first that is for taking Richards.

Yup I am definitely in agreement with you on Columbus being in a great position at this years draft. Your chart clearly shows they have great value so lets just hope they don't screw that up, by drafting the wrong players.

I mentioned this above in my comment responding to Blizzard. Blizz was saying about trying to pick up an extra first. This is the only way to do that, unless we trade down with Winnipeg, but they don't pick until 17th. I would trade down our pick with CBJ/COL to pick up an extra prospect/pick or player, i.e. Rychel with added picks or ROR. Than pick Barzal and Connor.

The benefits of gaining a player that would be a top ten any other year is worth taking Richards for a couple years. Don't forget, if it doesn't work out with Richards, we could always buy him out in 3 years(it would be 4 years of a buy out or let the last 2 years run out), thus making the buy shorter than buying him out now, 10 years.
