Tootoo has been terrible the past few games. You could see on the tv broadcast that Trotz was pissed when he reverted to the old Tootoo and got ejected in the third. I would not be surprised to see him scratched on Thursday and to see Hali or Yip in his place. In fact, I would rather see either one of them out there right now than Tootoo. He needs to sit for a couple of games and gather himself. He has hit a wall and is regressing big time.

Yet again they lost because of piss poor defense. It will be this team's undoing come playoff time and Rinne cannot stand on his head every night. On the rare occasions that he is human, the team needs to pick him up better than they did tonight.

And he probably should be. I don't care if the linesmen brushed his face with his elbow, he can't shove the linesmen in the back. That was incredibly stupid.

Agree. I love Wilson with Honey Badger. Why doesn't BT put them on the line except for in the PP? They play really well together. Wilson plays well with high end players, for sure. (OK... I know... who doesn't...)

Yeah, sitting the rookie with 32 points is a good idea over the rookie with 10 points. And it's not even about that - I like what Bourque brings, but Smith has more skill and can setup plays better.

He also stopped playing at one point, choosing instead to question the ref for a non-call he felt should have gone his way, a move which in my opinion led directly to another LA goal a couple of seconds later. (Same as Suter's ill-timed ploy about the missed off-sides call in the recent Cane's game which led to Weber taking the hooking penalty covering a 2-man rush. Next came Carolina's PP goal. We also lost that game by one goal.)

Bone-headed plays, emotional outbursts, whining while play continues, etc will cost any team and it's certainly biting the Preds at the moment.

You would think that NHL players would know by this stage of their careers that officials don't change calls - ever. And, in any case, you DO NOT stop to whine while play continues! At least wait until a stoppage.
