I wouldn't worry too much about good ol' Marty clearning waivers. Blows my mind that Boston didn't have anyone in the system for a situation like this. |

Just an update....Salavat Yulaev lost its third game today in the first round of the playoffs in KHL yesterday. They are down 3:1. Play again on Wednesday....maybe Poile will be getting a call from Rad's agent by Friday! |

The Preds just can buy a break in the standings. In some ways, I would prefer for the Hawks to overtake the Preds, so Nashville can face Phoenix or San Jose in the first round, then Vancouver or Detroit in the second. Coming out of a Red Wings or Blues series in the first round would be brutal for any team.
It's such an odd year that way. There is something down deep that says the Preds could get hot and make a run at a 1 or 2 seed. But Detroit & St. Louis just haven't let up. With Detroit's injuries, and St. Louis heavy road schedule...MAYBE the Preds could gain some ground. To do that, they will have to meld those new lines together & hope the first attempt at line-building works. If it takes Trotz a couple weeks to find the right line combos...then a 6th or 7th place finish could be a reality.
Gonna be exciting!!!

I'm pretty sure I saw Turco on NHL Network a couple months ago? What a slap in the face to the goalies in the AHL.

If it was up to Don Cherry to pick destinations for NHL teams, there would not be one team in America and he would change the name to OKBEEHL, Ontario Kids are Better than Everyone Else Hockey League |

Part of me thinks no way I want a full year and another part of me thinks this is better than nothing "which is what I expect to get from him in terms of playing time here". |

It may only be for a day but if you check the standings, Dallas is in 1st place in the West.
Anyway for tonight - GO PREDS!

Gonna be a tough game tonight. The Preds (read Pekka) stole the last game against the Kings, and now it looks like Pred-killer Carter has found his touch in an LA uniform. Add that to the fact that the Kings will most likely play Bernier tonight (who rarely loses to the Preds) and you have a really difficult task ahead. The Preds are going to need to play like they were playing before the All-Star break, not how they've played since. |

Okay - so slot Dallas in there with Phoenix and/or San Jose as the winner of the Pacific division. Either way - none of those teams are as scary as the Blues or Red Wings. Especially not in a 7-game series. |

I understand your reasoning - just enjoying the Stars being in first place if only for a day. This is actually great for the Stars effort to rebuild their fan base. |

Pete Weber was on 102.5 this morning, he thought Quick would be the net tonight. Bernier should play and Sutter should double shift JC. Ak46 is our new king slayer!!! |

Well this is going to be an exciting game.
Despite the goalie records vs NSH, Quick should definitelyget the start.
