The only real competition for carter is between LA and Toronto. Hope toronto comes out stronger..

Then with Bernier, even though unproven, he is still a 1st rounder drafted goalie, the Nucks arent trading schneider and im sure they will not trade schneider due to luongo's at times inconsistency, despite how he is playing now and seeing how the Nucks love him, probably wont be traded at all and resigned. Bernier will be traded though. Id take a risk on him.

What does San Jose have, their prospect pool is dry because of past transactions, only way Howson can be talking to Wilson is if Couture and a first are in this deal.

Some goalie help should be fine in my opinion. We have Griess and Sateri ready to go that could easily steal or compete for a starter position based on Columbus' netminders. BUt time will tell. Not to jazzed to be talking about such a large trade that could either be really good for our team or it could turn out to be horrible, no middle ground on this one. Vlassic is untouchable as well, but I will throw Demers in...

Vanek = awful contract and a hot/cold player
Sekera = just plain garbage
Enroth = a good back up, but not proven as a starter (he played well last season in Millers absense though)
Luke Adam = a blue chip prospect... i'll give you that.
1st rounder will be top five likely... so it's good.
I don't think Buff has the goods to swing the deal to be honest. Not to mention I doubt they are on " the list "

That's what I'm thinking. And on top of that, we don't have the cap room.

If the Sharks traded for Nash, they'd have the next 4 years of their future locked almost entirely into Boyle, Marleau, Thornton, Nash, Havlat, and Burns.

That's a great core now, but with an aging Marleau, Boyle, Havlat, and Thornton, we'd be paying them a lot of money for a fraction of their production today.
