Yeah, I know. They still aren't going to make the playoffs. The hill is too steep.

But the recent record gives one hope for next year? Maybe??

The plus side:
- In the last 7 games, they are 6-0-1.
- Scored 31 goals in those 7, or 4.42 gpg
- And that includes a 0-1 OTL to Calgary(!)
- Given up just 13 goals, or 1.85 gpg
- Getting scoring from all four lines.

The minus side:
- Wins were against Islanders, Columbus, Edmonton....(as well as Vancouver, Dallas, and Phoenix).
- Getzlaf still isn't the force we have come to expect, for the most part.
- A lot of the heavy lifting was done by Blake, Koivu, Hagman, Selanne, and Visnovsky, who aren't getting any younger!

Part of me is optimistic....the other says, "Big Deal".

Well, every team has at least one idiot fan making the rest look bad. He's ours.

Ducks beat Ottawa. Now 7-0-1 in last 8 games.

I'm off to make my "I BELIEVE" sign.....

I can give a pretty unbiased opinion here, I expected this for most of the season from them. At the start of the year I thought Anaheim was going to be a top 5 team this season, they really do have a ton of skill.

The slow start wasn't necessarily Hiller's fault but in the past couple seasons he has been a much better 2nd half goalie. If any team is going to surge towards a playoff spot after the All-star break I expect it to be the Ducks.

When I first looked at it a few weeks ago I said no chance. They would have to go on a long tear and ALL the teams ahead of them could play no better than .500 hockey.

Fast forward I don't think it's as bad because none of those other teams seems to be playing consistent hockey. Ducks have done it a time or two before.

I still don't think they will but I would not risk losing money on it.

You guys are running out of games with too many teams to climb over. I'm pulling for ya, but I think you're going to come up just short

Had they managed to keep the pace they were on I think they would have. This last bit of a skid has doomed them. Too few games left I agree. if ANY team they're trying to catch even goes 8 wins in last 13 games ducks would have to win 12 of 13

How do you think Washington feels removing Boudreau from behind the bench
