A lot of people have been considering the fact that trading Coburn wouldn't do much harm. I agree he has been horrible this season. Every game he at least gives up the puck 5 times or more. He fails to learn that the simple play is the one that should be made and he ALWAYS sends the puck up the middle of the ice. From what I am seeing from Coburn these days he reminds me of Pitkanen. I know some people say that he is still young and we should wait on him however we have given him so much time to develop and he still hasn't shown us exceptional play that everyone thought he was going to bring to the table. In my eyes he is very lost.

If he doesn't pick up his play soon Homer should try to trade him. I would love to see the Flyers get back a solid stay at home d-man in return for Coburn. If they can't get something like that trading for picks is the way to go. This team has barely any and the farm needs to be replenished.

Coburn also picked a bad time for a bad season. This is the last year of his contract, and he's not going to be getting a raise with that kind of play. I don't think anybody would trade for him though. I say just keep him, and maybe he'll get back on the right track eventually in the season. But right now, he needs to get less ice time. Maybe even be benched for a game.
