Hart to the Oilers? I could see it happening.

They’ll be declared eligible soon. NHL just covering their butt.

Not a big deal though, none of these guys are going to be difference makers for a team. They’re all bottom of the league types.

No, he isn't. At least based on his prior playing days.

I noticed the NHL didn't suspend Panarin. He was accused of sexual assault by a NYR employee. Lawyers investigated. They quietly agreed to a settlement. League didn't do anything. How is this any different? Because one pressed charges and the other took a settlement?

Or how about Jake Virtanen. Accused by a woman. Went to court. Jury found him not guilty. He signed an NHL contract after that. Fringe player that left the NHL anyway. But the league never stopped him from continuing his career. So why stop these 5?

Because it’s a woke league. The fear of a national story affecting profits and sponsors. They are full of poop. Can’t wait for the players to sue and go in front of judge and show examples like you gave. They’ll win big. Never have to deal with poopty nhl again. Be ultra rich and go play the game they love overseas.

None of them are worth the PR nightmare. Contracts will be voided due to the morality clause. I'd guess they'll hall be in the Russia and/or Euro leagues for the remainder of thier careers.

The oilers give up scoring opportunities like crazy! You think they’re better defensively than Philly has been? Wow.

You can't just look at stats at face value. Skinner played behind a Cup contending team while Hart played for an average team at best. Hart has won everywhere he has gone and he played well in the one playoff run that he had with the Flyers. He's the better goalie IMO.

Have to take into account the quality of teams in front of them do you not? Skinner would not be good on the Flyers at all.

You saying Harts stinks is incorrect.

Yes as the Flyers are not very good all around. Otherwise, they wouldn't be a bottom feeder team the last several years.

Agreed. Edmonton definitely has holes in their D, but their time of possession is much higher.
On top of that, Hart can play at a higher level then what we saw on the Flyers if he had a chance to win a cup.
The NHL has to think about the PR if, IF the Oilers signed him and months later he's skaing the cup around the ice.
There's a chance they may serve a suspension of some duration, no idea how long. A year maybe? Just to make their mark before the above happens. The time away for the trial doesn't count.

This morality clause is total BS.

Ovechkin has at times openly supported Putin.

DeAngelo has expressed far right political views.

Kuznetsov was busted for cocaine numerous times, with prostitutes.

Panarin allegedly lured a NYR employee to his hotel room and assaulted her. Quietly settled without charges for a large sum of money.

Lucic beat up his wife.

Guys drink, do drugs, cheat on spouses, hire escorts, and none of that matters.

But something goes to court and they are found not guilty...so let's suspend them for another year? Why didn't that happen to Jake Virtanen then...he went to court for an alleged sexual assult, found not guilty, and then signed a contract without any issues. I hope they sue today.

Have you ever watched the oilers? One of the worst defensive teams in the league.

Totally agree. Gonna be hard for the nhl to justify not guilty verdict turned morality clause with so many precedent setting examples with less discipline. Any arbitrator is gonna side with the employee
