For next season, I would like to see a more balanced deployment with Monty get 52-60 starts and Dobes getting 22-30 starts. I think this will be to the benefit of both goalies and in the end, the team.
last year the only goalies that played more games than Montembeault were Vasilevski and Hellebuyck, both top-tier goalies who are still part of the "old way" of managing goalies... the new trend is much closer to a 50/30 ratio between a team's goaltending duo. |
