If he was traded this season couldn't Chicago sign him for 8 years. If he waits for Free agency he is limited to 7 (or is it 6).

When guys like Nylander and Marner were UFAs many (including here) were convinced they'd be traded. I was correct all along. As a contender you just hold them as an "own" rental. You give yourself more time to either sign them (ie Nylander) and if they walk you get cap space to retool (Marner). Now you are saying Minny will do the same? Not sure they are really a true contender, so selling him as a deadline rental might make sense. Certainly more sense than trading away Nylander or Marner.

About a week ago, you posted a blog stating that a new version of Hockeybuzz will be rolling out as this one is 15 years old.

However, when the site was down for 10 days last December, you posted several times that it was for upgrades. So if the site was updated in December 2024, this site version is less than a year old, correct? Also, can you remind us what those site upgrades were?

Is the "current version" of your car less than a year old if you put new tires on it? Or is it just the same car with part of it upgraded?

This is a big nothing story. They will work on a contract after he visits home and enjoys a bit of a break from hockey. They will get a contract done

Next summer the rangers have a poopton of cap space so any of these upcoming UFAs would be foolish to sign extensions. Including KK. McDavid is in that group too. Eichel. Etc
