On a positive note, I haven't watched Blue Jays game in probably four years but they were on TV last night here in the U.S. against the Yankees. I hope they get into the playoffs and have success. I'll be cheering for them, even though I'm not a big fan. - Pacificgem
Maybe we can hope for a parallel to Canucks. Success despite big ticket player signing a massive new contract and being very underwhelming ever since. |

Are they pinching pennies, or hoping someone bigger will be available via trade? Seems like it could easily be done by now

Perhaps he doesn't want to play in Vancouver. |

Hola.
With all the rumours of Quinn wanting to play with his brothers, what do you think a fair return is?
Nemec, Silayev, 26 1st, 27 1st? Enough? Not enough? |

They're not trading him, and he isn't trying to be traded. |

Enough if he really would prefer NJ over Vancouver |

What about the alternative where Jack and Luke don't want to play their careers in NJ? Quinn signs one of the last 8 year deals in van. This offseason Luke signs a 4 year deal. 2 years in Quinn's extension Luke joins us and the following season Jack joins us. |

Man, the Canucks should aspire to be as good as the Mammoth (hate it) are projected to be going forward. That Cooley kid should've went first overall, kinda like Elias Pettersson. So many good kids in the organization, expect good things this year and in the coming years. |

Always good to be positive, otherwise you become grumpy old men like Makita and Nightie.
Also, it is going to be a very nice draft, too bad for Canucks fans you won't be picking until the 3rd round - Reubenkincade
Enjoy the 11th pick after dropping in the lottery. |

I'm thinking they're trying for an RFA kid, just waiting to see how that shakes down with their team first. They signed Suter and Lankinen really late in the off-season, so maybe the same thing will happen with Roslovic.
But like Marwood said, maybe he's not super keen on playing here, however it also may be his best opportunity to play in a top 6 role, so there may be some desire for that on his side. |

I mean canucks gotta give him reason to stay. I don't see the 8 year option to be a big motivating factor. As we'll likely see with Mcdavid, shorter term may be more appealing and the advice from agents while the cap is jumping up sharply and that max AAV keeps going up.
Hopefully he loves the city, cause the hockey has been pretty hit & miss and likely to be that way at least next few years. He seems like more of a low key guy so canucks might have to cool it on the organizational drama too. Finally, hopefully he doesn't love his bros. too too much. |

Just guessing…
I think Hughes isn’t a quitter & he’s bent on winning here. He takes being captain very serious. I also think mgmt will bend over for him. |

I find Hogan’s death more surprising. For me, Ozzy died in the early 2000’s when he started doing that stupid reality show. |

I see justice was served today. Shame on the Crown for even bringing that to criminal court. It was a civil case that had been already settled. |

oh, right.
I thought the canucks blog was AI, but after seeing the punctuation on the Oilers one, I have some serious doubts.
