The Ottawa Senators have signed goaltender Leevi Meriläinen to a one-year, one-way contract extension with an AAV of $1.05M.
He will still be an RFA for a few more years. So 1 year is a "prove its not a fluke" contract.
That means that both Merilainen and Sogaard are on 1 way contracts this season.

In free agency, I could see the Sens making a pitch for Radek Faksa, or maybe Pius Suter for their bottom 6. There will be some decent quality bottom 6 players at reasonable prices. |
