Actually it is the Leafs who are looking at filing tampering charges against Vegas.
The Leafs and Vegas both know that Marner is looking at going to Vegas and the Leafs are just trying to recoup something for Marner via a trade rather than lose him for nothing.

Yeah I’m a little confused but, it’s Marner and his agent so, doesn’t surprise me that people are getting pissed off and done with Marner. And it would make sense that his parting gift to the Leafs would be not just leaving but getting them screwed by the NHL. Because we all know the NHL likes to make and example of the Leafs. Florida, Tampa, Vegas…..do what you want but if the leafs go 1mph over the speed limit……..throw the book at them.

Out here in LA the Local Boys are saying that LA is definitely fuming, more so with the Marner camp than either of the competing GMs.

Buffalo rumor may have legs, but it’d be structured more so along the lines of:
To LAK: Byram, Tuch
To BUF: Byfield, Moore.

Whatever they do, they’re destined to screw it up (in Buffalo).

Nothing to fume over. No team can approach a UFA til July 1st or face tampering charges.

The Kings trading Byfield feels like a basket of snakes or den full of candy. They have been slowly (V.E.R.Y S.L.O.W.L.Y.) grooming him to take over for Kopitar for a while -- there is no plan B in that scenario. Byfield is wearing the hat that say's "Future 1C" -- and the Kings don't have any more of those hats to hand out.

Just seems unlikely he's traded.

If you put a cape on Turcotte and a crown on Helenius -- there is probably some kind of a deal there to be made for Byram -- but I don't see Byfield going anywhere.

To be fair -- in my life -- I have only been right 7% of the time.
