As a Ducks fan … I’m absolutely thrilled - watching Marchand & Perry thrive @ 37 & 40 respectively- getting a healthy - fingers crossed - CK20 @ 6.5 who potted 22 goals playing with a busted wrist / bad back and vertigo is the steal of the offseason.

Our PP & PK instantly got way better -

Esp with what teams are going to pay - Boeser / Marchand and others -

Jan, hearsay or heresy, either way I'm fine as both apply. And I'm still pissed.
Writing with your heart on your sleeve, I get it.
Kreider always seemed to be the consumnate pro so I don't think he was the room problem unless last season weighed so heavy on him he broke and it not only affected his play on the ice but also the room. Stress can manifest itself in ways that can mess with body as well as mind.

The rhetoric and narrative that he was selfish or a prime reason for the locker room disconnect and issues is pre conjecture, as no one has proven this fact. It's innuendo and heresy.

I get the business decision and team owner James Dolan likely putting the pressure on Drury to make these moves but it sucks. A healthy Kreids is a steal at that salary and I hope he produces for your team. Still super bummed.

It would be as the 7th D. Which would be fine. Not sure jones wants that role tho

I don’t recall people getting upset with Kreider for taking too long, but I agree with that sentiment that he deserved as much time as he needed.

The problem is, there’s no reason this proposed deal needed to be leaked two days early. It benefitted no one, especially not Kreider. It’s starting to feel intentional the way these rumors are leaked to the media, and if so it’s a grimy tactic.

Arthur Staple on the Rangers:

1) Drury *might* have already worked it out with Zibanejad that moving on would be best; The Leafs might have interest.

2) Dumping Soucy is a must.

3) Cuylle likely gets 3.5M.

4) Rangers want to be aggressors in the offersheet market.

He’s not a bad player. Could be a 6/7 for another squad. You just hate him bc of his size

I just don’t buy anyway Zib waives. He seems definite on wanting to prove last year was just a bad down year

Also how aggressive can they really be on the offer sheet market. They have so few of their own picks

Rangers don't have the cap space to be aggressors in the offersheet market.

They have approx. 16mill....and have to pay some players on current roster..No where near enough $$ to overpay for an offer sheet, or, like you said, the draft pick Capital.

They'll pay Cullye, Edstrom and Rempe. I guess Jones but he's a 7th at best. Miller is gone.

Zib has to go. Or all of this won't make a huge difference.

Anyone who disrespects Kreids is a poopty fan. The numbers show the guy has been an alltime Ranger great. Dude is in the Top 5 in a ton of Rangers records. He had a great career here.

My question is … how can we be “aggressive in the offer sheet market” if we don’t have picks? We could do a 4.5 -7.0 offer since we have a 1st and a 3rd but who are we over paying for that? Peterka? But Buffalo has the Cap Space to match

Also, wanted to get everyone’s thoughts on what we are doing with the 16 forwards we have under contract? Something has to give.

Maybe we flip them for Dmen prospects since that cupboard is bare

The picks are 2026 regarding offer sheets. That would mean PITT gets this years pick if we’re going the offer sheet route.

Just spitballing here -

Cuylle & Soucy for

10 OA & Ian Moore -

More cap relief- you wouldn’t have to worry about the pen pick as much … there could be a pretty good D man at 10 - or a center man … and Moore is a solid D man who can play either side.

We get Cuylle & and send Soucy to AHL.

No. Cuylle is a cornerstone guy. Almost like Kreider was at his beginning
