Zak MacMillan: RFA Profile - Jan Jenik Forward Jan Jenik finished his first season with the Senators after being traded from Utah Hockey Club for forward Egor Sokolov. Jenik was brought into the fold due to the relationship Jenik and Staios developed during their time in Hamilton of the OHL. The Czech born player had no points in two games with Ottawa with a -1 rating. The forward had 29 points and 75 penalty minutes in 52 games with AHL Belleville.

Are we playing some weird game where you go through a list of minor league players who will probably never play for the Senators, other then an odd game here or there?

There have got to be other topics like the draft or free agency, or what the team might do to improve.

Yeah, it's so weird when a sports blogger does articles about their upcoming free agents as the off season approaches. Why would someone do that? Doesn't the blogger understand that fans don't care about the players on the team?

The players he is covering are not on the Ottawa Senators. They are on the AHL team .... so who cares if they are UFAs or RFAs. The fact remains that they do not have the talent to play for Ottawa and are likely career AHLers. My issue is, is that there are many more relevant issues to talk about instead of data scraping from sites like Elite Prospects or whatever. There is nothing relevant mentioned on any of the players .... will they be resigned, or not. Or where they would fit in with the Sens.
Its strictly a data scrape with little to no opinion.
