What a joke. Hartman gets two games while Vatrano who did a far worse slew foot on Dubois gets nothing. The NHL is only good at being inconsistent.

2 for Mr. Heartless, as I reported in your last blog.
Slewfooting is a deliberate act to cause harm, and should be punished severely! I figured he would only get 1, but I would guess this is not his 1st offence.

Hartman is p.o.s..... not his first slew foot.... complete intent with no regard for consequences.... this will become an issue at some point... we've seen idiots for years take liberties, always same players, and the league does little...we all remember Marchand slew footing Kronwall... point being, it will take one occasion for a helmet to fly off and the defenseless player to smack his head off the ice and incur a serious head or neck or spine injury because of a blatant cheap shot..... then perhaps that injured player or his family come at the dirty player and the league..... the Johnson incident is debatable on carelessness and wrecklessness but a cheapshot like a slewfoot is intentional 100%.... he got 2 games for being a d bag with zero respect to the opposition.... expected.... just another Matt Cooke, Marchment...etc.... classless...

For anyone wanting a snapshot of Yzerman's free agent pickups last year:

Ghost: 18 points in 19 games
Compher: 16 points in 19 games
Sprong: 13 points in 20 games
Holl: 3 points in 16 games, +8
Fischer: 4 points in 19 games
Petry: 6 points in 14 games, +0

Reimer: SV%: .917, GAA: 2.30 in 6 games
Lyon: SV%: .952 GAA: 1.35 in 3 games

And yeah that DeBrincat guy is playing pretty good so I'd say that trade was a winner. Pretty happy with the results so far.

Whelp... I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of this signing. Thank goodness it's only one year. Hope he took a discount in terms of salary. I'm just not convinced that Kane is going to be anything close to what he was in Chicago. I hope he proves me wrong. At least we didn't give up anything to sign him and being one year it's low risk.

Today reminds me of the day we got Chelios. I think I hated Cheli more than Kane. Wow. I have so many thoughts, but right now I’m just enjoying the moment.

I don't think Kane signs unless he can be a top 6 winger again. I am sure he has a great amount of pride in cementing his legacy. The deal will also make the Wings a great deal of money in consestions sales. I would love to buy a Wing/Kane jersey! Just think of the fear that would cause elderly cab drivers!🤣
