Soderbloom has given up 2 he shouldn’t have today. Not his best. Can’t give up rebounds with guys right there. Preds got 2 today cleaning up garbage and beating him and d men To 50/50 rebounds. - SteveRain
Yes he needs better rebound control, but the D-was out to lunch on that last one. The forward was by himself. |

Perry showing his age this game. Behind a lot of plays. - Chunk
Was thinking the same thing. He tends to pick his spots but he’s noticeably behind when he’s not going full force.
2 very bad penalties today. |

Wouldn’t mind seeing a guy like Guttman or Anderson get a shot. Really can’t be much worse can they? |

D is out to lunch a lot lately. Just lost and leaving guys wide open. Happens when they are playing fire drill as they can’t exit the zone.
Tampa really exposed it last game when they ratcheted it up physically. |

Poor games from Perry and Soderblom.
The Hawks just can’t maintain any pressure today, they’re making Nashville look like contenders.
As others have pointed out, the Hawks have 1 top 6 forward, although Kurashev is doing a fine impression of one. KD needs to take advantage of a team in a cap crunch to add some talent.
KD should look to add a d-man too, it could be too much pressure on these young defensemen. |

That is what you get when you have bottom 6 players playing on your top line. - LAHawk
It's a rebuild! Retard! They were never going to be good this season. My god you're dumb |

How bout dat Flyres rebuild/club, LA? THIRD in the NHL in expected goals for and take down the champs today!!
Any chance they buy one of the Boat Anchors, you know cuz they talk good, at the TDL and make a run for the playoffs? Maybe KD can add a 37th draft pick in the next 2 yrs for that 2029 run?

You're not counting Boat Anchor Perry falling on the goalie as pushback?

Once we trade Mrazek if he stays healthy having Soderblom in the net 80 percent of the time, it will give us a guaranteed lock of another top 3 pick.
Chris Vosters needs to go— “Cole Smith wins the sword fight” my god… - bigfly46
From your lips to KD's ears. For all the Soderblom detractors look at the glass half full. As of now he's helpful in makin a run at a top 2-3 pick.
In fact, this was efficient as I' remember seeing Soderblom. He's good for losing his crease 2-3-4 times a game and didn't see much of that today, spun with his back to the play a few times a game, down and anchored only a couple times today compared to his usual.
His D has to understand if there is a shot better chance than not a rebound will be left available and sticks/bodies need to be tied up.

I was flipping between the Erie and Brantford games last night to watch Misiak and Lardis. Misiak looks really good, great balance, strong skating, finishes his checks and a real heads up player. Lardis wasn’t noticeable. But the guy who really stood out was Canadien draft pick and Arber Xhekaj’s brother Brantford’s Florian Xhekaj. Big, strong, smart, a good not great skater who reminds me an awful lot of Tom Wilson. I’d love to see KFC try to make a pitch for him but I’m sure being Arber’s brother and being the unique type of player he is, it will cost Chicago a premium. - paulr
Exactly how I started my night. Started with Branford and in 10 minutes did not hear Lardis' name or see him so i thought he wasn't dressed. Changed to Erie after that.
And yea, Wifi's little bro has a ton of compete. Was all over the ice. ...... He's property of MTL?

And where is Kane going to sign? Will he sign for close to the minimum or try to get a multi-million contract? Rangers have 10M in cap space but they came out and said they don't want him. Other rumored suspects DAL, TOR, FLA and TB don't have the cap space ... yet. DET and BUF have the space, but are not really contenders. - boilermaker100
BM, I'm not sure if I want teams I kinda root for to get Kane. He was bad at the end of last yr, some major hip surgery followed and now here we are. IMO a club would be nuts to give him anything past this yr to see what the hell.

Agree Rico. Brisson will talk him up but he's got to prove himself coming off surgery. I wouldn’t sign him beyond this season. And after that he'll become a mercenary signing one year contracts chasing a Cup. And I still think he wants to set the American player points record.

Zack, Soderblom is 23rd in the league (Mrazek iis12th) out of 74 goalies in saves above expected goals. Outside of the 8-1 drubbing, which games did he have rough outings?
I guess you just go by GAA and save percentage. Nothing about the quality of shots against? - LAHawk
Going by the eye test? Pretty much every game.... Gotta pay attention to the fancies but have you seen Sorokin or Husso this yr? These guys are dialed in and IMO Sorokin is the greatest goalie on earth nobody watches........ Where they rankin? https://www.moneypuck.com/goalies.htm
How's NJ and COL lookin in the goals saved above expected? Mrazak come on down, Soderblom you get the next 5 straight starts with Stauber as your safety net and KD gets Eiserman!!!!
Yea, seems Bamford is all over take away the 12 goals Soderblom gave up to AZ and Hawk's fans have a top notch goalie that you didn't realize you had despite what your eyes tell you.

Rico, I’ll take Sorokin over any goalie in the league, and if you put him on the Hawks, they’re still picking top ten. Also, does anybody else think that Vlasic is a top 15 defensive defenseman in the league, because I do. |

As he should be. It would be a problem if he wasn't. Reichel made some nice plays and people have to remember he has only half a season of NHL experience. |

Well I would rather listen to foligno and perry all day long as a young player vs Jones and Murphy. I mean all those battles the latter have been through. |
