I can't decide if I should turn the Phaneuf to a Willy, or just wear it to be that guy wearing a (frank)ed up jersey.

I'm still pissed they only offered the patch on a jersey, along with one other weird item.

I bought some decals and a summer/fall weight hooded sweatshirt with the logo on it and the place I bought it from said something like 75% of proceeds were going to the foundation but it wasn't from MLSE. They should have put it on more stuff but MLSE likes their money so.........

Just feels weird to wear the name of someone 20-30 years younger than me.

I don't really see myself ever buying another jersey - I have too many already, and to be honest I like rockin' my Leafs blazer or Leafs 1/4 zip sweatshirt to games now.

Jerseys aren't exactly comfortable, and I don't like wearing clothing that when worn "properly" looks like the oversized crap we wore in the Miami Vice era.

I may wear my Bryan McCabe jersey this year - and hope someone tells me the number is wrong for Jake.

All fair points, counterpoint is those breakaway jerseys (or whatever they are called) are more like a long sleeve shirt and the fabric is super comfy. I know 100% I have way too many jerseys too. I rarely buy current players anymore - retired players I really liked and mostly goalies.

I have a Matthews and JT but learned my lesson with a Freddy jersey. It is the Toronto Arenas one whcih I love the look of but now it's one I'll have to swap out the name plate on one day.

Palmateer authentic 2014 winter classic is still probably my all time favourite but I have a Bower, Bester (ya Bester), Reimer (ok I'm a slow learner but I could make it another Matthews if I so chose), a 1967 remake #1 with no name, Cujo, Belfour, Potvin, Gary Roberts St. Pats Green (another beauty) and then a few with my nickname and # which is the other route I go.

I may have a slight problem now that I look at this list knowing I have forgotten some......

My brother and I bought the 3rd jerseys last year on the day they contributed all proceeds to the Borje Salming foundation or whatever it was called and they came with the Borje patch but no names / numbers.

Tried like hell to get names/#'s on them at Real sports and was told the would have to send them out and it would take 2 weeks and cost like $75 per jersey blah blah blah all because the font and numbers were unique. Tried to just get them to put on the regular ones they had in stock and nope - even the manager said nope.

We went to the 300 level where our seats were, went to the place they do the names/numbers up there for the retail booths on the 3rd floor and asked.

Boom - done in 10 minutes with the 'normal in stock' names and #'s for $20.

We tipped the kid $20 and told him to go buy coffee for him and his co-workers.

Go back a month or 2 later wearing my JT jersey that doesn't have the C on it because it was from his 1st season here. Asked the guy how much to get the C on it - he remembered us and did it for free.

Next time we went to a game wearing our 3rd we waved to the guy and he remembered us and we chatted a bit. He says "boys your Borje patches are a bit loose there - got 10 min?". We both had cold beers in hand and said sure - he repressed the entire jerseys for us for free.

That day we were all Charlie Sheen and #winning and it almost made the price of beer at the game bearable.

I wish the Tampa hockey scene would get their meme game together. Some fans around the league poke fun at the Toronto media scene, but I honestly like the idea that the people actually give a phuck enough about their team to get emotionally involved. At least Leafs fans are engaged and not sleepwalking through the season.

The only time you see good Tampa-related memes is when other team's fans make them and they often hilarious.

I remember seeing a couple of funny ones about Ducherov's LTIR games and love of diving.

I see a 3C and a hard nosed RHD being the eventual additions. If Lilly elevates this year then maybe he can stay and Klingberg can be moved/dumped but if not then ....

The season seat holder gift this year is a Bieber jersey.

I'm not a huge fan, so I gave it to my wife.

Here's the funny part: the men's jersey is Adidas, but the women's and kids' jerseys are Athletics.

I'm strongly suggesting she get a men's, but I don't think she's going to buy my logic.

TDL will be interesting.

With LTIR Leafs will be unable to accrue cap space so both Backlund and Tanev would be nearly impossible.

Dumba has a 3.9M cap hit and that double retained is 950K...conveniently at 3.9M instead of 4M for the reason that teams can double retain it and easily do a money in and money out deal with a 950K player.

Leafs don't really have players to dump at the TDL unless Klingberg is a complete failure. Which is also why I really believe they will be big on Kane...Can add him easily in the cap if structured for it.

I only wear the JT one once in a blue moon - playoffs or going to games with my kids.

And none of which were store bought, except the 90s leafs jersey.

My only jersey is the ugliest 3rd jersey in Lightning history. The 1990s one with the lightning bolts on the sleeves. Signed by former captain Rob Zamuner on the crest in fading Sharpie. Has a small burn hole on the front from a falling cig cherry. Priceless. Lol.

I got one last year and I actually really like it ....fits like a glove ..and ya, mine has all the proper straps.

I haven't braved wearing the yellow Drew symbol yet though.

Any team can fit Kane in this season with it being a 35+ contract.
