For some fans it will put Torts closer to permanent retirement.

Philly, Pinto is better than Frost, Pinto is more of a top 6 and Frost is more of a middle 6

Well with Dorion anything is possible. He is an incompetent idiot so it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him throw in a couple of first round picks as a sweetener.

No one ever wins a trade the day the trade is made. Yet you insist on opening up the debate nearly every time.

I read this on another site yesterday and cap issues may have something to do with it. But yeah, an even swap doesn’t seem like an even trade for Ottawa.

Keep making it up, Ek. Was the source your imaginary friend?

The trade rumour was from Elliotte Freidman as well so not something Ek made up. Read Freidman's write-up .... Philly would have to take on some salary as well. At this point, Dorion would have to pass any trade through the new owner so I am not too concerned about Dorion going off script.
I can't see a trade for someone like Frost. He's too short for the Sens plans and team make-up. I think the Sens are being patient for Laughton ...... maybe Brannstrom and/or Joseph + some other elements. But I don't see them trading Pinto unless he wants out (especially since they have no idea how Norris will respond after the injury and Pinto would be the fill in in case of issues.

I could see konecny being a target but Philly would need to hold salary using they’re last slot to do so and still take some back

Any trade for TK starts with a 1st round pick.

Pinto/Brannstrom/Joseph 24' 1st round pick

for

TK

we can hold money to make it work, but I would rather have JBD instead of Brannstrom.

I think Ottawa would make a trade once training camps open and they see how Greig, Klevin, JBD, Thomson, Sokolov, Jarventie, and Brannstrom are progressing.

TK absolutely brings back a first and a good prospect, Affordable, Scorer, Great rental Not sure if Danny B holds until the deadline or jumps early if someone offers enough I love the kid but chances are he'll want to jump to a winning team and we're a few years from it.

I always thought the foot dragging on Frost was because there was a deal in the works. I don't know if this is the deal...Pinto is bigger. But really hasn't shown that much more than Frost.

Frankly any deal has to bring a pick or prospect on top of the principle assets. If Frost is the key on the Flyers side, getting Pinto alone might be a good deal, but I just don't know.
