Doubt I could justify this given that I can already watch like 80% of games since I have an ESPN+ sub.

Most streaming services are priced too high. Makes little to no sense.

Yeah that price point is wild. I’ll continue with seasons4u for another year at $40 for every sport all year.

Well the Pirates are likely to give their rights to the MLB so they won't be included. I also don't need ANOTHER streaming app. I'll just pirate that poop.

If the pirates are added to the streaming service, I’d imagine the price would go down. They are a chore to watch.

Worst run organization in all of sports. You couldn't pay me to watch that crap.

It's also baseball, which is a snoozefest and adds to the suck.

Fair enough. They are one of the worst run organizations in all of sports.

At least they had like the #1 offense last year. The pirates are chronically terrible and the 1 dude I like to watch was out for the year.

I wonder how they will justify anything north of $100 for a full season of Penguins when you have so many other options. Especially in 3-4 years when the Penguins are in FULL rebuild.

In a perfect world, the major sports would just flat out own all broadcasts and if you have their App you get everything. Not some on ESPN, some on NHL network, blackouts if... , etc. Just one seasonal fee and all games for 1 team or all games for the league. 2 options.

Not sure that’d be a good thing given how the NFL and NBA price their packages. Their price points are egregious. NBA league pass keeps getting more and more expensive and they’ve eliminated their single team option to force you into buying the more expensive league wide plan, and NFL Sunday Ticket straight up doesn’t make sense to buy unless you own a bar because it’s like a million dollars a season.

Like I said it’s geared toward bar owners. It is not consumer grade. I have a friend that decided to get it and he lives in market in Chicago as a bears fan. I make fun of him relentlessly.

No I did not actually. The pricing even makes less sense now. Who is buying this for their home use?

Yeah bars have to pay a fee based on occupancy size or something like as example like $6k if your establishment seats 101-150 or something like that.

But if you spend just $25-75k to send a kid to college you can use their discount and account to get it for much less. That's a great deal.

Detroit tries to win. That's the difference. They've been hapless, but they try. Bob Nutting does not care about winning. It's not his priority. He's in the black without selling a ticket. He refuses to risk his profit. He's like government....doesn't actually need to offer anything of value to make a buck.

Some people want to just flip on their tv and watch the game. Not everyone wants to deal with illegal streaming sites littered with porn ads.
