I really wish I could have reported Dumba coming to Detroit. He got a year in AZ. Penguins added some intrigue on the blue line as well. Stinks when your moves are all done early in the summer!

And yeah, the broadcast thing sucks. It wasn’t until the on air exodus that the real interesting stuff came out. I drove by a rink some of the guys use in the summer but it was empty (and the sign is all messed up). Hoping to track someone down and get some quotes!

Yeah, I’ll be glad when this is all settled. When the Wall Street Journal takes shots at “the mouse” brace yourself. If the stock goes below $54 I wonder if people will “buy the dip”. I suck at the stock market so I don’t know how to gauge.

Last year, 7 of the 10 biggest flops of the year were Disney movies. They had a total of 10 major flops last year. This year they've already had 4 major flops, costing them over a billion dollars. Haunted Mansion only opened to $42 million on $150 million production budget. A few months ago, Disney was looking for a buyer for ESPN and other assets. Now it appears as if Disney is looking for a buyer of Disney. None of this is good news for the NHL.

Here’s the latest from an inside leak. The Star Wars Hotel they bulldozed didn’t cost 2 billion, it cost 4 billion. Disney wants someone to purchase 20% of ESPN if they can and want to move as many people as they can to the ad tier. One park reporter I communicate with couldn’t use the monorail, 4 of the doors weren’t working and “Pirates of the Caribbean” was down for almost 2 weeks. There’s also allegations of “cooking the books” but not enough solid proof yet. They’re using the strike to cancel movies and shows that are going to be duds. This will not be a good call on Wednesday
