You’re dismissing a young player not being prepared for a season - ClaudeFather
I'm not dismissing anything. The evidence is overwhelmingly in my favor. Just like it was in every disagreement between you and I and we know how they turned out. Such as the issue with the senior advisors that you stubbornly denied. |

We all watched the pre season, York was horrible. There was no despite anything, talk about manufactured nonsense. A young player went to the AHL, played well for a good stretch, and was called up. - ClaudeFather
That last play, on that goal, York looked defeated |

The amazingness that is chuck Fletcher has left his mark on this failure of a team for years to come
Do you think his epic idiocy rates up there with milbury and chia? - Bob Habib
Yea, Minnesota still suffers from Chuck's anchor ⚓️ signings. On top of the flyer stuff. |

😂 take a lap bud , the evidence is overwhelmingly in your favor haha. It’s in mine. We are done here. You love to pretend you’ve won an argument that’s at very best, just your opinion. The ignorance is astounding. |

I guess there was more than that. A pre season game is only one part. These teams practice ever day as well. Things happen that we don’t see. When York was sent down I didn’t like it, but to his credit he didn’t sulk, came up and had a very good season over all. I likened it to when Giroux didn’t make the team out of camp. Some times a guy just needs a re focus. I’m sure having a guy like Torts come in with that reputation had something to do with a poor camp that even York has admitted to.
I agree he was a young player and a trip to the AHL has hardly hurt his career. |

The player was handled properly. Credit to York for being a professional and not being demoralized by the demotion. I’m not some huge Torts guy either, he certainly has his warts. But a lot of complaining is overblown, some is warranted |

I dealt with you this morning. You're going to have to come up with more than just anecdotal comments and rhetoric. We're those game meaningless or did they count? - MJL Oh ok, so the player himself admitted that he didn't have a good training camp, but you say he was fine. So I guess you're right.

Yes it does. Hopefully DB can un due the damage one piece at a time. That’s why I was calling for his head even before last summer…his plan or lack there of bordered on incompetence. I was not a fan of Hextall, but at least he had a plan…not a very good one, but a plan none the less. |

I don't pretend. It is my opinion, backed up by the facts.
Here is what we know.
1) York played 30 games at the end of the 21/22 NHL season and clearly showed that he was an NHL player.
2)Played a handful of pre season games in the 22/23 NHL season where he wasn't great but wasn't awful either.
3)Went down to the AHL and played well. Came back up and hit the ground running and again showed he was clearly an NHL player.
4)Have reporting from a reliable source on this current thread, what Tortorella had against York.
It is not hard to read to the tea leaves here but apparently according to you, we're supposed to believe that sandwiched between two much larger samples of regular seasons NHL games. York wasn't ready for the NHL based on a handful of pre season games that you believe he was awful in.
In the same manner such as you did with the senior advisor debate. You bring zero to the table. Nothing but rhetoric with no facts to support your opinion. The only think you're capable of doing is showing your ignorance by calling someone ignorant. |

Good thing it looks like the Flyers are banking some cap space this coming season. They will be a great three way trade partner for cap strapped teams looking to add.

I’m the same. There are things I don’t like about Torts but there are things I do like. I can say that about most things Flyers. I have always tried to give every new coach, every new GM and every new player a clean slate. Over time I form my own opinion on how good or bad they do…sometimes both. |

He was good enough to make the team. He was certainly better than Zamula who made the team out of camp and showed that he was not ready for full time NHL duty. Good on the player for looking inward and taking it on himself. |

Here is what we know.
1) York played 30 games at the end of the 21/22 NHL season and clearly showed that he was an NHL player. *30 games from the prior season for a young player does not guarantee you a spot on the team the next season.
2)Played a handful of pre season games in the 22/23 NHL season where he wasn't great but wasn't awful either. * he played very poorly, poor enough where he was sent to the AHL. He lost the spot that he had the inside track on
3)Went down to the AHL and played well. Came back up and hit the ground running and again showed he was clearly an NHL player. * this is what you would want your first round pick to do, nothing wrong with going to AHL and proving yourself
4)Have reporting from a reliable source on this current thread, what Tortorella had against York. * what did he have against him? Just because he challenged him? Nothing wrong with that.
Everything. You’ve said has been debunked. Enjoy your night 😂

30 games under a totally diff coaching staff. That matters. He came in with a blank slate.
No one said he wasn't ready. What was said is he had a bad preseason and bad camp. That is why he was sent down. Those are the facts Cliff.
What Torts have against York? Also saying the coach has a personality disorder is slander. Do you have any links or proof to back those claims?

You gave the same exact reply during the discussions on the senior advisor issue. We know how that turned out. The next fact you supply will be your first. I have 86 facts on my side with the York situation. |
