Weird indeed.

Give him 2M and burry Hoffman.

- WaterBoy

We could have grabbed him on waivers for free for 1.8M

I think, if all the card drop properly, a team in the hunt for the cup loses a forward deep into the season and Hoffman is their cheap answer. The guy is not terrible, he is just not going to play top 6 in Montreal, so his stats reflect that.

I appreciate he has not caused problems on the team and goes out to play.

That being said, I would like him gone before camp, but that seems very unrealistic.

The numbers of mistakes he does on the ice makes me mad. Even if you're desperate for offensive, he'll cost you more than he'll give you.

There is nothing that could convince me that he's a somewhat positive add to any team.

He's

St-Louis can fix any player he meets. It's well known around the league.

would be nice though to provide MSL with players that aren't a problem case that need to be solved... that being said I'm still wondering what went so horribly wrong with Zadina, I don't think it's been made clear yet.

He will sign a 1 year cheap contract and bet he has a rebound year. Or perhaps, go to Europe and make more money playing there.

Filip Zadina (DET) has been placed on unconditional waivers for the purpose of contract termination.

The 23-year-old forward passes up on $4.56M in salary the next two seasons and becomes an unrestricted free agent.

It doesn't sound like Filip Zadina will have to wait too long before finding a new home. He's got some options.

Habs will compete for a playoffs spot this year.

Unless they lead the league in games missed due to injury again.

I do not think they will be a bottom 5 team.

And I do think they will stay in the playoff race a little longer this year, but I doubt as long as into the new year.

they'll be better than last year Pat, like you said they cannot again have that many injuries.
but compete for a playoffs spot? nope. not yet. patience!

also, good (frank)in riddance for Xavier Dolan.

meh, I'm not being impatient, and I'm fully aware there's a chance they won't be in the playoff race, but I like to think they can and will. in any case, unless they repeat the same injury poop as last year, there's gonna be progress, and I won't be disappointed.

and I couldn't care less about Dolan lol.

well if they're bottom 10, might as well make some injuries last a little longer, so that the depleted roster gets us a top 5 pick again lol
