Torts awful quiet though
- hello it's me 2050

I always got the sense that Torts loved Provy as a person and a professional, but wasn't in love with him as a player.

Just curious what others think. If Montreal offered 5 for Hart would you do it. One for one. Player for pick.
- J35Bacher

Without hesitation but 0% chance Montreal is moving that pick for a goalie.

In no order:

york - Walker
Sanheim - RR
Seeler - Tony D

Does Attard or Zamula or whoever creep in that top 6? Assuming they don't sign or trade for a D

- hello it's me 2050

I think Attard is ready to be an NHL player offensively. I have not seen enough of Zamula to make a prediction.

Hopefully TA is gone before the season starts.

But what about this scenario:

#7, #22 and Hart for #2.

Would the Flyers do it? Would Anaheim do it?

Flyers only get 1 player, but that could be a franchise center for them or knowing their luck he stays in college then leaves or becomes a bust...

Anaheim has a lot of young forwards already, not to mention they also have a decent crop of young defensemen. Also include they trade Gibson, which they receive a decent package for. Anaheim could be really scary with depth and a younger goaltender that fits better with their team.

It's a tough one.

I'd respectively decline. It'd be hard but I'm a "strength in numbers "kind of guy.

That's what makes it a tough trade. If the Flyers had the #2 pick in this years draft, what would it take to trade it?

Thought I read somewhere that no one has traded out of the top 5 in like 15 yrs.
If true, probably not getting any of these fantasies draft dreams to come true.

I agree that this deal is a great first step. I want them to go all in though. I hope they rip off the band aid.
- mickel25

all good with that but DB can take a season or two to do it. You hope it is done by the TDL, but other teams have to want what you have, not think you are desperate to move contracts. They now have draft pick capital, other GM's can not look at them and say they are desperate for picks, that is good. They want more picks but have a solid number right now, 19 picks next 2 drafts, 26 over the next 3, with 9 in the first 3 rounds and 6 in the first two. They need more, but they are not dealing from a weakness any longer.

I never expect a coach to make comment on a trade, especially in the offseason. Torts has been avoiding making comments on management transactions all year, why would he begin now?

I saw this posted by a Montreal fan...

5, 31, harris, trudeau, and montembeault for 7, hart, and ginning?

As a Flyer fan, I think I'm doing that.

In the Flyers' situation, assuming Fantilli is the guy, personally I'd make the asking price extremely high.

Specifically I don't know. But I'd be asking for a player/prospects, 2023 and 2024 picks. GM's would hang up on me.

And the Flyers still keep 22? 5,22 and 31 would be pretty dope.

disagree as he played him a lot. Never really sat him. Never sent a "message". Never criticized him.

Also didn't he praise him after the season?

I think we should be really happy with what we have heading into the draft. If we can move Konency to free up more roster on the right side, I’d do it.

If the Danny can get what he did for Provorov then the return for TK should be SPARKLING.

Hear me out. No way I move from #2... BUT Ducks have two young centers already. Moving down to #7 where they get a winger or D plus Carter Hart... They can then get additional assets for Gibson.

Just spitballing

The way I look at this draft, and yes it's always weird to compare, but I compare this draft (not the players careers) like the 2015 draft.

Fantilli is the Eichel behind McDavid, BUT I would still put Carlsson with Fantilli then you have the skill of Michkov, which I would put next or slightly behind Bedard.

Does Carter Hart have any kind of no movement clause?

He's not allowed to move his arms when in goal.

Who else was he gonna play, tho? A lot of those minutes were Provy's by default.

I love the rebuild and I think the top of the first round have as close to cant miss prospects as you can get, but beyond that, it is drafting and you need some luck, ask the Rangers. While I am excited about this draft, it is a top-end draft. If you move a TK or a Hart, you need some close to sure picks in return. I think Provy, it was time to move. TK seems to be a special player, I still believe in Hart and want to see how he looks with a real team. By all means move them, but you better win that deal by a clear margin.

They were rebuilding could have played younger guys I kid

I get that part just Torts didnt say a bad word. As I said could have sworn their was an article somewhat recent where he praised him a lot.
