I think Hart is traded to Buffalo for number 13
- Keyser soze

I would be thrilled with that. Sadly I don’t think the league values goalies quite that highly anymore. Maybe Hart and 22 get you 13 but is it worth it to move up nine spots?

i wouldn't trade him with the first included, but when was the last time a goalie fetched a higher first round pick? Hart is not a franchise goalie, at least not yet.

I'm not sure. But this is why the Flyers hold all the cards here. You want him? Pay up. If not, we can keep him and resign him as an arbitration eligible RFA.

Wow, he's worth less than Risto.

The internet is wild. In less than 24 hours I’ve heard Hart isn’t on the market. I’ve heard he is. I’ve heard he isn’t but the Flyers are listening to offers.

I would guess that your last sentence is the closest to the truth. It's not like the Flyers have to trade him by any means. They hold all the cards the way I see it. Somebody ponies up a big haul for him and they would probably make the move.

By that same token, Risto was technically worth more than Provy AND accepting $7.5M in cap dumps too.

I think it showed us that Chuckles got played big time to bring in a less than stellar D man.

So the consensus is this was a good trade? That's good to hear. I'm thankful for the flyers giving me some trade entertainment.

As an outsider, I think it was a good move. Shows where DB is headed.

month ago you were saying the complete opposite an how Hart makes zero sense for buffalo
- hello it's me 2050

Most definitely wasn’t me. I’ve always said hart makes sense for buffalo. Maybe what you’re thinking my position was in response to people saying hart would be long term solution for buffalo in which I said buffalo has stated they wouldn’t DEFINITELY trade for hart for the long term because they wouldn’t block Levi. That still holds true today. Hart has 2 years left and buffalo hopes Levi will stay up with big team now. They aren’t dumb. They can’t rely on very young Levi to shoulder whole load. Hart/Levi combo for 2 years is great position to be in. After 2 years you have options with hart.

Until more dominos topple, we cannot rule out the possibility that this is at least partly because Provy-Flyers had reached a unamicable status. Lets see.

How do we feel about Ryan Leonard? Seems to be a very talented player, high compete, good motor. Dvorsky gives me hesitation

In a bubble I think it was a good deal for all teams, but for the Flyers it depends on how other deals in the future work out to show the true worth. If Danny pulls a Chuck and craps another deal in my mind at least it neglects what he did with Provorov.

what a wild imagination you have.

I pay more in taxes than you so my contribution to society is greater than yours.

What lunchmeat or cheese do you hate cutting the most?

- hello it's me 2050

Not to be political but it’s sad and I’m hoping you’re not attributing taxes paid as a societal contribution marker? Everyone except the poor should happily pay taxes. People need to stop looking at taxes as a punishment and focus where and what taxes provide to the society. It sounds like you’re more mad at that. Which you should be. I’m not happy how my taxes are spent. Unfortunately we live in a rigged system where you really have no say. Remember tho the masters count on the divide. Placing anger or blame on the poor or lower class keeps status quo.

I don't mind Leonard depending on who else is available. Dvorsky gives me reservations because he could become a decent 2C or become a wasted pick. I just don't see enough out of him that says take the chance.

Leonard's stock still seems to be rising, especially in light of what Matt Tkachuk keeps doing. Bet a lot of teams near the top covet an all-around, extremely physical goal-scorer with plus intangibles. Wouldn't be surprised if he went as high as #4 or #5.

Right, I’d just prefer the more talented player there. I can’t get a good read on Benson, is that gonna translate to the next level? Leonard looks like he’s going to be a really good player and is a force when out there

also doesnt the 13/14th pick in this draft have more value than the RR trade draft?

That means someone else gets pushed down. I was hoping that player was going to be Dvorsky so the Flyers don't have to make the decision on him. The one I feel is the most realistic one dropping out of the top 6 is Benson and I am ok selecting him.

Generally speaking that’s correct. But Buffalo is in an increasing more happening position of rebuild. They have tons of assets on team and are knocking at contending. They still have 8 (yes 8) more 1st 2nd round picks coming next few years. Or chance too. They simply don’t have enough spots. They need to take next step (make playoffs) they would have this year if they had better goaltending. Levi should be here this year but first year and could struggle. Buffalo has almost no need for pick 13. They would be smart to move assets for established goalie preferably to play for a few years with Levi and go from there. It’s a combo league now. Half the goalies don’t even play 50 games anymore. You simply can’t have 2 young non established goalies. Not when you’re looking to take next step. Hart with 2 years left at 4mil is ideal for buffalo. They had 3 1st round picks last year. I thought they’d move one for goalie but choose to roll with Anderson UPL comrie. Anderson proved washed up and comrie bust. UPL has shown really nothing that he’s a nhl goalie. Buffalo has said they will get a goalie with Levi. If hart is there guy not only can I see them giving pick 13 but adding maybe a prospect if they have too.

Where is DB headed? Your saying 1 trade of a disgruntled employee shows that?
