When someone has to ask how Hart is proven there is no need to carry on the conversation. Who gives a phuck if he is the same age has the other buffalo goalie. One is a proven NHL commodity one isn't. Oh my bad they are the same age.

Hart is proven, no need to explain...

Nice breath of fresh air that I don't feel the Flyers got taken to the cleaners in a trade. It may not be a home run (if the 2nd rounders were 2023 picks it might be) but definitely a stand-up double. Good first trade for Danny to build off of. Now time to sell high on Hart and TK and see what's out there. Also, it's great that they had LA retain on Provorov and were able to keep their retention slots open. Now they can retain on Hayes and others during the deadline. - TobyFlenderson

Just curious what others think. If Montreal offered 5 for Hart would you do it. One for one. Player for pick. - J35Bacher
Of course but there is zero chance Montreal does that. |

Curious thoughts on the Rangers rebuild, do they need another year to see if they can take a step? Need another year for their kids? Or, did they jump to soon on the rebuild? When you look at Krieder, AP, Zib and Trocheck, all 30 plus (Trocheck 29) and locked up for multiple years, is their window open? need to re-tool? |

Marvelous trade.
If couturier and Atkinson come back healthy this team makes noise.

Right after you explain what you have against people who work in a deli.
So let me get this right. You look down on the people who both cut your meat and actually offer something to society and you believe spending days on end on hockeybuzz.com is a better way of life? Loose one account, just start another. |

The one just north of my cottage …yes. Some of the ones in Northern Quebec…no. It’s so dry and camping season is just starting. Brutal….I live 4 hours away and it smells like my neighbours are having a camp fire. |

I live 909 miles away and it also smells and looks like I am living in a campfire.

4 hours away?
I'm at least 9 hours away and it smells like my neighbor is smoking 100 cigars using their butt hole.
Update: Never mind that is my neighbor. |

It’s crazy how this smoke travels….even last week the northern Quebec ones made the Sky hazy all week.

I don't know if he'd pull the trigger on a package like that, at least not right away. The goalie market is weird and Hellebucyk also reportedly being available complicates things. Not to mention, Hart is probably going to want to sign an extension with whoever trades for him so that could throw a wrench in any deal. I'm fine with keeping him, but I'm worried about committing to him full term and him regressing to his 2021 self or getting the nagging injuries which has been an issue. His value may never be higher than it is this offseason. - TobyFlenderson
Toby Flenderson with some very astute and reasonable observations on the trade and Hart question. Loved the comment that the trade was not a home run but more like a double. Ever thought of helping out on one of the Flyers related sites? ;-) Like the well thought out responses.

Does moving up from 22 make much sense or is that 10-25 range all pretty similar in terms of talent? I honestly haven’t had the time to follow this years prospects the way I usually do nor did I think the Flyers would be selecting in the later half of the 1st. |

Depends on how a person evaluates the players. Personally I think there will be sleepers in that range and no question some players will be picked higher based on rankings that won't be as good.
I see some players I would be interested in the Flyers selecting at #22 that some mocks have in the mid to late 20's. It's tough to call until the draft comes and you get to see who falls and rises, available and whether there's a player someone wants that might get picked. Obviously I would rather be in the range of 12-15 than 22, but that doesn't mean a decent player won't be there.

The rankings are all over the place. Some players are ranked top ten in one, and in the 20's in others. I think they are going to get a real good player at 22. Im just excited that I can go back in and start looking at other players besides the guys ranked at the very top. And even then no one seems to agree. Guys like Sale, Cristall, Stramel, Danielsson....even Oliver Moore. They are all ranked all over the place. And one or more could and probably will be available at 22. Plus many others.
