I would do that in an instant as the Flyers. Not sure about Anaheim. - MBFlyerfan
For sure. Having the 22nd pick in your pocket makes 7 a bit more interesting. I'm thinking 4 is as high as the Flyers could move up to. |

Re: Edmonton and Hart
Campbell, 2024 1st, Broberg, Lavoie and 2023 2nd
for
Hart and Laczynski
Thoughts? - Glak18
If the Flyers are taking on Campbell, I wouldn’t do it unless we got Holloway & Bromberg out of it. I’d suggest those 2 and this years 2nd for Hart and Laczynski. Oilers should be in WIN NOW mode and Hart and the cap relief from Campbell will certainly push them much closer.

Ottawa could probably use Hart the most. But Ottawa has no 1st, 2nd or 3rd picks this year. I could see another 3 way deal where Hart goes to Ottawa and Ottawa move Debrincat somewhere for picks that go to Philly.
To Ottawa: Hart, 2023 3rd rounder(Buf), Casey Middelstadt
To Buffalo: Debrincat, Laczynski
To Philly: 2023 1st(Buf,13), 2023 2nd RD(Ordinally PHI), Alex Formenton
Could something like that work? Too much? Too little?

Hear me out. No way I move from #2... BUT Ducks have two young centers already. Moving down to #7 where they get a winger or D plus Carter Hart... They can then get additional assets for Gibson.

not sur why Buffalo would want the Cat. They have other areas that need addressing.

I was just using EK's blog. But in the same idea, a 3rd team would pay the picks for acquiring Debrincat to Philly and Ottawa gets Hart.

So the only thing the Flyers are giving up is Hart and Laczynski for their return?
If that was the case then that is pretty high value and I would take it. Not sure if Ottawa would like the return.

Another thing on this trade. all 3 teams kept it quiet as there wasn't any pre trade talk. Just find it interesting is all. |

understood. Dont buy the sabres interest in hi however. Hart makes more sense than the cat.

I didn't know since they have Levi already. Would they want more of a short term vet to pair with him.

I have no clue why Buffalo would have any interest at all for Hart. They have Luukkonen and Levi in the pipeline. If they are making a trade for Hart they have to look at him as the foreseeable future. I can understand if it was just Levi there because he is going to need some time and experience. Buffalo would be better off targeting a shorter term experienced goaltender.

Levi is a wildcard at this point. Sables need to make the playoffs next season. Had they had just solid goalie this year they were in. Yes a solid vet may make some sense 100%.
Hart just fits thier time line is all while Levi can get acclimated and not be the "savior".

Buffalo is ready to win now, take that next step. They cant hope either of the 2 you mention don't poop the bed like their goalies did this year. They need a proven goalie. Maybe that goalie is a free agent. Hart make sense on a of of levels. |

I can see that. That is why I think Ottawa makes a ton of sense if they can get some picks in another deal.
With the Flyers already taking back Peterson, I can't see Edmonton because they would almost want you to take Campbell and Toronto I am sure would want Murray going the other way. |

No he did not. - mickel25
Anyone who has been in here regularly knows he’s been pounding the drum of “bad hire, not looking outside the franchise, no experience, went to some business night classes” since he was hired and gave him no chance to succeed. That he’s being “manipulated” by Torts at every move 🤣
It just wasn’t innovative enough for him |

A good first trade by Briere. Having no salary retention makes it even better. I'm not ready to trade Hart unless it's a great deal for the Flyers. What will Danny do with Ersson, Sandstrom and Peterson? I personally had more faith in Ersson than Sandstrom and I'm skeptical that Peterson will turn his career around? The Defense was suspect last season and next season looks to be worse. Hopefully TDB and Risto step their game up, but I'm not betting the farm on it. Maybe switching sides for York improves his game?
The draft will be very interesting. Hopefully Briere surprises us with some more good moves? |

I think there will be better options for them to have than pay the price for Hart to make it work. They can get a guy that will be a 1A/1B for no assets or minimal |

Not that I'm saying Hart is the answer, but who are the 1A,1B out there that aren't going to cost more dollars than Hart? |

They already have two goalies that can be one of the 1A/1B, they can go get a cam talbot or Freddie Andersen to pair with Levi or Luokko, they don’t need to pay premium for Hart. My post wasn’t about money, it was about paying assets |

Yeah.
They could even look at Jarry as maybe someone to pair with Levi. 2-3 year deal. He's only 28. |
