I love the rebuild and I think the top of the first round have as close to cant miss prospects as you can get, but beyond that, it is drafting and you need some luck. While I am excited about this draft, it is a top-end draft. If you move a TK or a Hart, you need some close to sure picks in return. I think Provy, it was time to move. TK seems to be a special player, I still believe in Hart and want to see how he looks with a real team. By all means move them, but you better win that deal by a clear margin. - wcorvette

I get that part just Torts didnt say a bad word. As I said could have sworn their was an article somewhat recent where he praised him a lot. - hello it's me 2050

If TK is special then the league is full of special players. |

Trade him for future considerations now.

I think Attard is ready to be an NHL player offensively. I have not seen enough of Zamula to make a prediction.
Hopefully TA is gone before the season starts. - mickel25
But the problem is his defense. Can he be more than a PP specialist? Unless he makes incredible strides it’s tough to see an NHL player there.

I would say he is "special" in the context that he is a 30 goal scorer just entering his prime with a reasonable cap hit, making him a prime asset to deal for a rebuilding team. That is pretty special. |

so to me why take the risk bringing him back. To much could go wrong to me.

A steal for Philly. No way the Oil does that.

I actually feel the opposite...Campbell with 4 years left, probably not enough added to offset it.

Agreed, they are already carrying 5 million for Petersen. Taking on another bloated contract at goalie to move Hart makes little sense.
I think MTL makes a lot of sense. Suzuki and Caufield are signed long term. Add Hart to the Habs core. I do not expect #5 in a potential deal, but I do expect a 1st rd pick to be involved. |

Agreed it doesn't make sense to carry that much bloat, but it is one way teams in rebuild mode accumulate assets by carrying other teams junk.

Agreed. He’s a good top three player with some sparse flashes beyond that. Calling him special is ridiculous. He barely even makes the all star roster for the East, let alone the entire league. |

Where is the cap space coming from? Still have to sign Cates, Frost, York, 7th Dman (who could come from Phantoms) and 2 additional forwards who also could be phantoms.

He's not a superstar, but he can easily be a 35 goal scoring winger with many intangibles that would benefit teams, especially in the playoffs.

I'm not trying to do the Flyers books, I'm just discussing trades in a bubble.

add, he did all this while on the Flyers, he showed he can carry a line, or carry the O. Now, special doesn't mean McDavid or close to that, but he is coming into his prime and has the skillset for today's NHL and if he can even build a little on last season, special player. Any trade needs to reflect that...

EDM gave up nearly as many goals as the Flyers. I think Hart has a chance to thrive behind a solid defense. I don’t see EDM thinking Hart is the answer.

I’d just put him on waivers in the hopes he’s scooped up, clears cap space and has a great career somewhere else haha |
