I think this will be a great hire. Babcock knows he has to make some changes to the way he coaches. He has been getting paid for a few years now and I guarantee you he has been working this whole time on evaluating players and coaching strategies across the league.

Will be interesting to see what roster moves they make to go along with this.

C'mon Zak. You have to be surprised on the down side, like most of us. There were so many good directions to go with available coaches but Jarmo re-cycles a coach that couldn't coach the young "core four" in Toronto.
So apparently Jarmo felt Babcock was the best choice of all the available coaches ??

I'm hoping this an April Fools Day bad dream. He could have hired Babcock when he fired Larsen !! Would have saved us all a month of hoping there will be a change with the team.

Was really hoping it would be a deal along the lines like Lindholm, Vladar, Ruzicka & our 2023 2nd for that #3 so you guys can get your top line centre & reunite Gaudreau & Lindy. Oh well. Not looking good, sounds like Lindholm & others couldnt stand Sutter, not sure how Babcrotch will go over.
