Thanks Bill. Never forget Rick MacLeish's 50/50 season and the best wrist shot in the league. |

Will they sign Theo Rochette in your opinion?
Shocked Chuck hasnt been interviewed for any jobs. - hello it's me 2050
There was hope he'd go to Pitt to finish the job that Hextall started kind of just like they did here. That franchise deserves such competence! But, it looks like they're going Dubas. Too bad. They missed out on Chuck.

He'll need AHL seasoning. It's possible he could eventually stick in the NHL as a bottom six forward. Not a slam dunk but he has the wheels and some skill.

He's an AHL contract type of player, IMO. I wouldn't use a reserve list spot with an ELC. Always beware of overrating junior overagers. I learned that lesson years ago with Len Barrie and others that followed. Not impossible to make it as a NHL regular but the over-age stats don't mean much in and of themselves.

has the wheels to be a solid bottom 6 as you said. He is good on the forecheck as well Will have to modify his game at the pro level as dont see top 6.

Depending on where you draw the overage line (I'm not sure what his draft year was) it looks like he has some descent pre-overage stats. Also, could he be any worse than Brooks, Hodgson, Willman (I'm not listing the ones that came over in a trade such as Barratt). |

He "flowed" on the ice and had that killer wrist shot. Could score from anywhere.

Bruins with 4.5 in cap overages and bounced from playoffs first round, did they try to buy the cup? Or build through the draft, or what ? |

Don't worry, there's still a chance they'll trade for Kevin Hayes |

He’s one of the few guys, from back then, who looks like he could skate it todays NHL. |

I keep seeing Columbus and I have no clue where Hayes fits there. Maybe someone threw darts and missed the board so they came to the conclusion Johnny Hockey...friends...boom.

They DO have the cap space, especially if the Flyers retain. He would become their highest scoring center and second leading scorer using last year's stats.
Hey, you never know.
I would have no idea what to expect in return.

Habs were able to pry a 1st-rounder away from the Flames just to take on a few months of Sean Monahan.
I doubt any team is taking 3-years of Hayes for free, much less giving the Flyers anything back in return for the pleasure. |

Rochette is under contract with Lausanne HC. for the upcoming season. Wouldn’t this preclude an AHL deal? |
