Alex DeBrincat
Alex Forminton
Anton Forsberg

To OTT:

Jake Neighbors
Tyler Pitlick
Jordan Binnington a million a year retained (if he agrees to waive his NMC)

- Octavarium

I have a feeling Dorion wouldn't take Binnington in any trade even if it was stacked heavily in Ottawa's favor. After the culture crisis he dealt with between Hoffman and Karlsson he won't take in any players that have even a hint of potentially causing locker room issues.

Having said that I can see Dorion being interested in Dubois but only due to the fact that Dubois' only personal issue is wanting to play in Montreal and if Dubois was willing to settle with Ottawa I think Dorion would jump on acquiring him.

Not a bad deal but as a goalie, Bennington drives me nuts. Just make a save and stop going nutso. I also may take out Forsberg and add in Mathieu Joseph or Lassi Thomson.

How bout:
PHILLY: Hart and koneckny
OTT: Debrincat (signed)

I like this trade for Ottawa but don't think it's realistic. I hated the Colin White pick when 67s star Konecny was still on the board (how on earth did Dorion not properly scout him when the cost to do so was just mileage...). But Konecny was a PPG player last year and is on a very cost controlled contract for a couple years, and as such a case could be made he's worth more than Debrincat alone.

Yo...... I appreciate trade rumors but man....

Two-time 40 goal scorer
20 goal scorer (who might be in trouble)
Good #1B goalie or back up

FOR

Unknown 15-20 goal scorer
32 year old who can't score 10 goals
and a stanley cup winning goalie who's best years might be behind him (no Vezina, did he even have vezina nom)

Yea that's a good offer. I like Necas

Why TT not have a good year offensively? He's had some solid ones in the past

Injuries, mostly. Just seemed to have a different injury set him back a bit every month or two. Never really got up to speed.

Dallas Stars, Vegas Golden Knights, Nashville Predators, Detroit Red Wings ...and maybe 1 other team are on his trade list? Which team you think will/can give the best return and what is it in your opinion?

How about this trade? Alexis Lafreniere?

Fair enough. I like TT but I really like Necas' progression. DeBrincat in Carolina would be a great fit. I think Hurricanes are RIGHT there and were my fav to win the cup heading into the final 4.

Fun fact: Last year I ran into Rod Brind'amour's sister at tims in ottawa. She was down to earth but in good shape it looked like. Not surprising but still

NYR would need to add 2-3 more peices, Laf is not worth remotly close to Cat and NYR do not have the cap space to sign laf

Severson to CBJ. Signed an eight-year, $50 million contract as part of the trade. The contract will carry an annual cap hit of $6.25 million.

So...would you accept Chychrun at this term, AAV, when he signs an extension?

Taking a look at Cap Central to try to find pieces that could come back that could also alleviate the Rangers cap problems.....and the problem is NYR have very little roster players right now. Only player signed past this year that might help with taking on Debrincat's AAV that they might be willing to part with is Kakko. Do they get rid of two high former 1st picks in the same deal? Doubtful. But I would accept that for both of them. Maybe throw in Thomson going back.

They do however, have some G prospects that look interesting, especially since Shesterkin is going to the number one guy for a awhile.

Apostopolous dropped out of bidding. It's starting to look like GSP is flubbing this process hard. Aps bid was supposedly the lofty 1B number, him departing will only put downward pressure on remaining bids. Very Melnyk.

Jakob Chychrun is making 5.4M this year, 7M next year.

Next summer he can be extended. He will be 27.5 years old when the next contract kicks in. I would expect a fair offer would be: 8 years @6.75M-7.15M. Front loaded. NMC and possibly "A"

Jake Sanderson - I would give him 7 x 6.25M extension right now
