there are so many layers to it now that we think about it.

i suppose he'd also like that device to erase everyone's memory of his wife banging her kid's friend. and slapping chris rock instead of himself. and that time he hurt geoffrey's feelings.

one thing I don't totally get though is why that young hockey player's parents insisted on giving him that name. he was born in 2005, so by that time Will Smith was already a huge celebrity, they could've chosen something a bit more unique imho. unless this was either done as an homage to the actor, or the parents were living under a rock and had never heard about Will Smith lol.

i mean, until all this he seemed like a pretty okay guy.

i don't get naming your kids after actors and actresses though. but smith is such a common last name it could just be that will was a family name that's been being used for generations. maybe they were like, "man, we don't even like that fresh prince show, but grandpa will would be upset if we don't name our child will."

I guess your family name hypothesis makes a whole lot of sense. and I think I saw somewhere that the kid's full name is William... which begs the question, everyone named William can be nicknamed Will, but is every Will necessarily a William?

Questions that will no doubt be asked to Smith if drafted by Montreal as we are good at overanalyzing everything lol
