i knew him better than anyone. i knew everything about him, poop his wife didn't even know. we were like brothers for over 20 years. but he totally hid how bad the casino trips had gotten even from me. he was going in the middle of the night and missing whole days of work to go and poop like that.

things went as well as they could. the rags scored right after i put the bet in. that's pretty much exactly what you want, so that always feels good. then they scored again before the end of the period.
