For sure, I guess he's seeing what he's got so if anything happens in the playoffs, they have options. That being said, it's not like the regular lines have been firing on all cylinders all year so I would have though they'd want some more time to work things out properly.

It's somewhat encouraging that they're still doing ok through all this vs some very good teams over the last few games but they're being clearly outplayed tonight.

Since he's split them up for no reason at all, the Matthews line has largely been irrelevant 5v5 and Willy is fading and taking whatever line he's on down with him.

I can't find a single thing about Keefe and his blender I'm liking.

Reading that you’re not a Murray fan it makes more sense, I don’t think he’s a head case at all but I do prefer Sammy over him. I’d like both to find their groove obviously though like early in the year. Imagine going into the playoffs with that level of goaltending!!!

The trade deadline isn't far enough in the rearview to decidedly have the lines. They can find something that works pretty good and run with it right away, but risk missing out on something even better. I find it a little annoying how much its being blended. They should be honing in on something by now, but it looks very random to me still, and I don't like it either.

But I get it and it's not make or break time yet.

I'd expect him to largely have his defence set by now, or at least to the point you have your 6-7 regular guys and are tinkering with 1 or 2 pairings. It's starting to seem like he's going the wrong direction each passing game and throwing more darts instead of less.

I don't want our defenceman second guessing which partner they're on the ice with come playoff time. I want them to be tuned in with their partner to the point reactions are happening, not a thought process.

They can lose money and still come out ahead on the real estate. It all depends on where they build (and who pays).

Fair, I kinda saw it as up and down since Marner started the season there and nothing was working. Also, that left side has been a question mark for a while. In any case, I thought that they'd try to get those top two lines more time together so they're both rolling going into the playoffs. We both agree that they don't look great mixed up like this, hope they can get it together soon.
