Tippet continues to impress. Shows what a little confidence can do along with opportunity. There’s not a lot the kid can’t do. I wish he could get more shots “on” net like he did last night, as his shot is elite. Definitely one of the bright spots this year.

Yea, he needs to hit the net. He’s a very powerful skater and has a heck of a shot

Stop being nice. There’s no need for it. Don’t sugarcoat it. The flyers need to lambbasted til the cows come home for that deal. And anyone defending it is flat out showing homerism. Time to take the kid gloves off whenever these stances are tried to be pushed.

Coots even in same breath as Bergy is a damn joke. And kopitar for that matter too.

It’s clearly a bad contract for sure. Maybe Coots comes back to form and gives a few years of solid leadership with this rebuild and pays off in other ways. But I appreciate and respect Bill too much to disregard his take or call him a homer. He has a right to communicate his opinion and his opinion is much more educated than mine. I’m on the outside as a disgruntled fan without the same knowledge and resources. I can disagree respectfully or “sugar coat” it and still get my point across. I love the passion on this site and enjoy the various opinions, debates and all out arguments! It’s the only entertainment courtesy of the Flyers’ failures in quite a while!

We are a bi-polar group for sure. We’re ticked off that the Flyers have been mismanaged for years because we want the Flyers to win. Yet, we find ourselves not so silently rooting for continued failure and losses so they get a better draft pick and a shot at Bedard. Welcome to the dysfunctional life of being a Flyers fan.

I think Tippett needs to prove he can put the puck in the net more consistently before we declare him a sniper or a 40 goal scorer lol. I will say this, on a good hockey team, could you see Tippett or frost playing in a top 6 role?

Nobody said this and it’s Tippett’s first full season in the NHL.

The statistical data shows that you're wrong. Frost as of about a week ago, was 2nd on the team in scoring chance involvement, with only Konecny above him. Frost has been one of the best players on the ice a lot this year. Just a few days ago, Tortorella was stating that he needs Tippet to be more consistent. Play less of a one on one game. Look, Tippet had a great game last night. He shot the puck really well. His release, velocity and shot placement was fantastic last night. There seems to be this need for fans to be either on one side or the other. I like both players and I see the real potential in both players.

Since my position is so dumb. I want to hear from you in detail with supporting evidence how teams are concentrating on stopping Tippet more than they are Frost?

but that is not reality today is it.

Interesting article about how Scott made the decision, without consulting the Three Wise Men”, to fire Fletcher. That Clarke, Barber, Holmgren, and Lombardi will no longer influence decisions making and that Briere is actually an outsider and not hired because of nepotism. Hope it’s accurate.

On an offensively challenged team? Yes sir. Put this guy on a line with someone like Marner he would have 35-40 this year.

I think he would, a good team would have a proven NHL winger and center to go with Tippett

Both things can be true, Tip and Frost are good stories, if they follow normal development paths of a first year NHL player, the Flyers have 2 good pieces. It can also be true that a week ago Frost was slightly ahead and after last night Tippett is, hope to see it go back and fourth, for the rest of the season

Interesting

Wonder why the article is under the opinion section though?
