Personally, and selfishly, I enjoy a good fight, especially if the Islander is the fight winner. But to pretend that they accomplish something like preventing dirty hits from behind is a pipe dream. The NHL has the ability to come down harder on dirty hits, and outlaw fighting, but fights sell tickets, so they (the NHL) are reluctant to do it.

For what it’s worth it’s prohibited in the NHL as well. There’s a penalty if you do it. Might be harsher in European leagues ( where they barely hit ) vs The NHL.

It's really important that Horvat begin to play a bigger role. In 19 games, a guy who was supposed to be a decent 2-way forward is an underwhelming -3 in the +/- column.
