Now what about the fact that they have too many NHL level d-men, couldn't they potentially move one of them to Vancouver? Not saying that I want this, but I could see the Pens move Petterson now that they have Kulikov...but I'd prefer to keep Petts.

Kulikov is a huge downgrade. It would be a very stupid move from Hextall even by his stupid standards.

This was a great pickup for Minnesota and bad for Detroit. Sundquist was probably the most underrated player for the Wings. He's a very good penalty killer and a good forechecker. Also good at screening the other team's goalie for tip-ins and deflections. Easily good enough for the third line on most teams.
