I watched the exchange. Yes, Rangers were likely on the top of the list but show me where it got to the point Kane waived for the Rangers, and Davidson caused the deal to fail?
So much false info out there. Media is now hyping up this "hip issue" and yet there is Kane verbally stating he feels better than last year. So i think there is a lot of false crap being reported....time will tell, but if either Kane or Toews ARE traded the Chicago barstool hockey "expert" loses all credibility trying to out "scoop" everyone. If they aren't traded then we just confirm how big of lap dogs Chicago beat guys are.
It's early still...what are we 3+ weeks from the deadline? why wouldn't Davidson set prices HIGH IF it got that far? There are other teams interested, and Kane himself today said it won't be 1 team as he tries to do right by the organization. - SteveRain
This may be wishful thinking but with all the skating gurus out there training skaters and breaking down every aspect of their stride I'd like to think interested teams have their people breaking down film going a few yrs back analyzing Kane's skating to see if there is an issue and how much of one there is, if any.
Before any media reports and Kaner's statements on the Ranger trade yesterday I thought this might light a fire under his rear end and now listening to him today I really think so, IF he indeed wants to play playoff hockey this yr.

I really hope he gets dealt, just seems to me he's dragging his feet when it comes to this whole process - BetweenTheDots
A friend of mine texted me saying that "After being so indecisive and procrastinating with his decision, now Patrick Kane comes out like a turd. passively aggressively complains he wasn’t traded to the Rangers.

Don't know how they can prefer Tarasenko when you know Kane and Panarin have chemistry - BetweenTheDots
Because they also got a third pair defender who they will sign,
only gave up Blais
and the Dallas pick and a 2024 3rd.
They weren't gonna wait / negotiate / or getting in a bidding war.
The Rangers line up is intact with it's kids plus two additions who fit their needs.
The NY fans will only say "Why no Kane?" until they ate eliminated.

I don't think there's anyway they trade all those players.
Everyone needs to check their expectations.
I'm guessing two guys max are traded.
But you know if KD doesn't trade 7 guys he'll be a failure..... - vabeachbear
I have a list of few of their fringe players I want to stay to set the tone for the seasons ahead.
And maybe the big two get no offers and they stay here.
Maybe only two others get traded. (It seems like every team has a half dozen guys they are looking to discard for "two #1s and a prospect..." LOL)
I bet you we can agree that the Blackhawk will be adding a few even lesser lights that come over in deals where use their Cap space to facilitate. Go look at previous years Cap team trades and the players that must come as the tradable assets plus $...and you will see names you never heard of or expect on NHL rosters, guys that can even compete with our current guys! |

Frankie Nazar is playing with Gavin Brindley, who the Blackhawks might just draft this 2023.

And get seven first rounders back in the trades. - LAHawk
Expectations are higher than that after the Hagel trade. |

Kid is a player. Wonder if this was 10 games in and he was in better game shape he would have lowered his shoulder, cut to the middle in front of the Dman and had the goalie to himself or even draw a penalty? ...... As it was though his IQ and skill allowed him to see, then feed the two trailers for a Grade A.
Thanks for the link, LA. Fantastic news that Nazar is playing hockey at all this season.

Wiz, I am a fan of Brindley. Watched him as a 16 yr old tender for the Tri City Storm, an excellent USHL organIzation, a couple yrs back. By mid season there were games kid was as good as anyone on the ice.
He's really skilled and has a high IQ but is small and not an explosive skater which might have NHL teams wonder if he translates to a good NHL player. ........ Where do you have him in your mock? |

They’ll be lucky to get one first round pick, but hey, both Keith and DCat were 2nd rounders. |

If they can add one this year and possibly next? I think three successive drafts with 3 first rounders would restock the prospect pool pretty quickly.
As it stands, 2 picks in each of the first three rounds in '23 and '24 will help.
Greene (2nd rounder '22) was a guy I believe Darth had mentioned to keep an eye on and with a good year at BU he's shot up the Hawk prospect rankings. |

If I’m not mistaken, the Michigan game tonight is on ESPN+, may switch to that game as the Hawks will probably get blown out vs Jets. |

Health issues? Tarasenko has been out with injury a poop ton in the last 5 years.
Both Panarin and Tarasenko are shooters first. We'll see how they mesh on the ice. I think they will be good, but great? I don't know.

Completely wrong...The Bread man is pass first...he is an assist machine and doesnt shoot anywhere near enough. Tarasenko is a shoot first guy..Perfect match see the goal last night |

Watched Kane a couple weeks ago when they came to Vancouver, from up above. Still the most dangerous player on the ice. His vision and skills are top notch and he’s still a game changer. They played terrible but he really has no one even close to his level on this team. Still worth a first plus either this year or next. Toews looked tired but still effective in spurts. Kane to Edmonton or Colorado for a future first and a prospect, if he decides to waive. Toews to Winnipeg for a future conditional 2nd, though I wouldn’t be surprised if he stays. |

So, all the scouts on HB and the media could be wrong? Interesting, let’s see what NHL scouts and GM’s think by 3/3/23. I have a feeling that they are more inline with your assessment, we’ll find out soon enough. |

And as someone else posted a while back, should've been on team Canada instead of Dach.
