Haha Fasching flashing the spinorama

Gotta like his game. Simple smart plays, good on the boards and good away from the puck. Has some skill as well.

Aside from the first 5-7mins of the first (and not unexpected after playing last night) this is the most complete game I’ve seen them play in a long time. Totally locking it down here in the 3rd. And Sorokiin with another shutout!

Yeah, this was a promising win and major confidence builder for them. It will be interesting to see how long they can carry the momentum

Two solid (not perfect) games by the boys. Horvat has injected life into the team and fan base. It is nice to see a player that is humble and grateful to be and play here.

If for whatever reason Lou decides to move Varly at the deadline, I think he found a partner in the Kraken.

Well horvat has really helped solidify the top 6 and barzal even said it's given him more jump as horvat gets open for him right away, who knew? They now have 2 lines that can score and the 11 44 10 line has looked good too. Holmestroms play has been very good and I think made Lou more comfortable to move raty. Really like fasching and I'm not really ready for him to come out for clutterbuck when he's healthy, tbh I'd like to see him replace 15 or 17 and Ross should never see the ice again.

The d looks much better with pelech back as he's probably still their best defensive d man and also Dobson looks healthy again. Any mistakes they have made the goaltending helped to bail them out but thats been good even when team couldn't score.

Bottom line, is this team good enough to go on a run and overcome the games in hand that Buffalo and Pittsburgh have on them? Idk, but the all star break let them get healthy and they look rejuvenated for sure. If I could and again I have no idea the price but I would love to see taresenko added to this team. Imagine him with horvat and barzal???? Bailey can suck it

#Isles    Bo Horvat on the emotions of Mat Barzal after the goal:

"I think he was more excited than I was. He made a heck of a play there to strip that guy and get it to me, and like I said, I got to expect the unexpected from him. So a heck of a play by him."

#Isles    Mat Barzal on playing with Bo Horvat:

“Just seems to be there in the right goal scoring spot, so it's exciting. I'm excited. I feel like I even got a little more juice out there just playing with him.”

Barzal excited to play with a guy that understands how to get open and be ready for him, barzal has been flying the last two games

I’m all for getting tarasenko but I don’t see a way of making it happen.

They can move a 1st but idk if that's a great idea, I suppose we need to know what the blues are looking for. This may be the roster they go with or maybe they go with a cheaper option up front for the top six but Bailey really doesn't have a home. I know some love the guy but I'd rather see holmestrom playing right now. Maybe Bailey does well with horvat and barzal and turns back the clock

That’s exactly what Lambert is hoping for. I assume they’re also hoping to see baileys point production in the playoffs if we’re able to squeak in. I’ll get flamed for this but maybe the guy will find an extra gear knowing it’s most likely his last chance at a cup. Bottom line is we should all be praying he can contribute in some positive way because he’s ours. He isn’t going anywhere.

Yea I don't see him being valued much but everyone raves about his hockey smarts. He hasn't looked that bad so far but barzal litterally always has the puck amd they have possession a lot more because horvat is great on faceoffs where barzal sucked at that. Bailey basically needs to get the puck to one of those two and be in position. Honestly I think he can do that

As Cpt has reminded us, the Isles are still likely to miss the playoffs. However, the odds of their missing the playoffs has dropped to 70% from 83% just before this current win streak. If they can just keep winning.....

We have the canucks, canadiens, and the senators for the next three games. We need to find a way to win all three. Then the Pens, bruins, then pens again. Obviously those games against the penguins will be the two biggest games of the season so far for us.

I think all 4 lines were solid last night. 17-53-20 were tight as well.
I think it’s the best defensive game the team played in a while. We’re good in the neutral zone and handle what little forecheck the Kracken could muster and exited the zone well.

I thought the last two games were Baileys best games in a long time. Was noticeable in a good way.

Low bar, but I agree. It's the same old thing with him. He can show you flashes of elite skill which just make him all the more frustrating since he rarely brings it. Bailey's biggest issues have always been a total lack of tenacity. If he had a greedy Ovechkin-type mentality, I honestly think he could have been a perennial 35-60-95 kinda guy. Instead, he let's his hockey IQ work against him. He really could of used a Mike Keenan or Torts kinda guy early on to light a fire under him as opposed to the country club
