Maybe since he's an LD too and cost controlled for a few years a Sandin + prospect gets you McCabe and Domi. Moving Sandin opens up the spot on D and the Leafs solve two concerns, upgrade on LD and upgrade on LW?

McCabe plays both sides like Brodie

Like Hagel last year, opportunities to save so much cap for 3 seasons on a contending team saves you future assets needing to add. Plus you spend 2M on a top 4 D you have more money to spend elsewhere.

Its a no brainer for me if CHI is willing to eat 6M for 3 seasons.
