1967 TML’s Raisin Pudding
This is a very old, rustic desert. If you don’t like sweet, move along.
Sauce
3/4 cup brown sugar
2.5 cups water
1/4 cup butter
Batter
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
Pinch of salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup raisins ( wife uses half sultana and half golden which are tart)
Preheat oven to 350F
Combine all sauce ingredients in a sauce pan. Heat until sugar dissolves and butter melts. Pour into a large-ish casserole dish.
In a bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, milk and vanilla. Then add flour and baking powder. Beat well. Then stir in raisins.
Spoon batter onto the sauce (rustic lumps). It looks weird, but trust me.
Bake for 40 minutes.
Serve warm and make sure you scoop lots of the magic sauce that has been created with each portion. Add whipped cream or ice cream if you like.
I predict Zezel will eat the entire thing in one sitting. - Woderwick
Just looking at the recipe...I'd say that's a fair comment.

Now someone go back and do all the comments from AA and company. - jribout
If I had a bot that would do this, culling and compiling all of the AA quotes about Nylander into one document would be pure magic. All of the trade proposals made by everyone would be simply wonderful to look at.

Of course they have enough $ to sign Willie and Matthews. $21M available from Engvall, Kerfoot, Brodie, Muzzin and Murray. Replacements needed and guys will need raises but if those two are a priority, the $ is there. (Marlies, Knies, etc can take up some slack)
Also, re Cush I don’t think Willie is a better player than Marner right now. He’s hawter but Mitch is still more skilled and does more all round. - Canada Cup
Everybody needs to trust me (and Zez, but mostly me) ..I've done the math and it works. Subject to on ice failure those 4 guys don't need to go anywhere. Lots of cap space it just means the formula of cheap 3rd and 4th liners, cheap 4-6 D, and probably gambling on 'tenders continues. Guys like Knies, Robertson, Niemela, Woll ...would be nice (cheap) if they can slot in.

The sales pitch of "come to Toronto for 1-2 years on the cheap, and rehabilitate your failing career, before going off to another team (probably Edmonton, but maybe Vancouver) for more money than you are worth" seems to be working very, very well.

Agree, it used to drive me nuts

He would want to trade him because of his facial expression after he scored, or that he put his hockey bags down in the wrong place when he was on team Sweden. It's like dude, he's a starting forward on team Sweden. He's good.

doesnt seem like a Dubas thing to do mid season...move around roster players
shuffle in a D and move one out...he tends to more add and not swap out. - senstroll
I wonder how much leeway Dubas has at this TDL being UFA this summer.

Simmonds is loving his time in TO - Symba.007
I can turn a blind eye when teams hang on to a guy who has been there for 10+ years, but the loyalty they are showing to Simmonds is inexplicable.
I don't know, maybe the argument is that they need his sandpaper in the playoffs, but we need 2015 Simmonds, not 2023 Simmonds. He simply can't play at the NHL level anymore.
He was a Leafs killer when he wasn't on the team - and he's a Leafs killer again.

Ugh, skating is not like riding a bike. Getting back on skates for the first time in years was tough. There's no way I can play shinny yet, unless I play a Jason Allison type game.

Don’t forget guys like Steeves and SDA (it’s just a rash) and Abruzzese. I think they’ll probably let Bunting go
