I wasn't aware either, but it looks like it happened against the panthers... those dumb mofos. it (frank)ing sucks since he was one of the few bright spots on that team, and was on pace for a 40-goal season. oh well.

yeah, for sure. I'm just hoping they'll call up another prospect or 2 who'll be able to seize the opportunity and step up for the rest of the season, cuz all this draft talk gets pretty (frank)ing tiring with so much time left before it actually happens.

baby steps Pat. you can not lose 20 games in the last week of the season. you have to lose them one at a time. like tonight! every game we (and FLA) lose is a good thing.
as for prospects.... they're already all in Mtl, sorry to disappoint you. nothing in Laval worth mentionning.

gee, it's so uplifting when you put it that way, thanks, I really needed that...

and I think there's now a possibility they bring either Roy, Beck, or Mesar.

why? you need to put kids in the best position for them to learn and progress.
not sure bringing them to Mtl now is a good idea lol

pretty sure the whole point of this season was to focus on player development, as winning definitely isn't a priority. Dach sure seems to be learning a thing or two and is progressing well, same thing could obviously be said about Guhle before he got injured, it isn't impossible that other young guys could follow this pattern as well.

well, Dach is in his 4th NHL season, not exactly the same thing.
yes Guhle was good, not sure the others (Mesar, Beck, Roy...) are there yet.

Sucks for Cole, hopefully he gets back to normal for training camp.

Now…waiver wire time, pick up scraps and finish the rest of the season with a top 5 pick.

Same last season. Good thing is they well placed to grab a few great prospects at the draft.

They Habs were dead before the start of the season.

All this does is impact some player development, and really, only Slaf is falling behind. CC and KG were playing really well.

Hope kids get more play time as a result, not AHL retreads.

The 4 kids on D have looked good for most of the season, especially earlier in the year when all the "vets" were out with injuries. Even Baron, recent call up, has not looked out of place most of the time.

I think you leave the kids in OHL right there for the rest of the season, but make sure guys like Dach is playing center, etc... use this time qisely.

sure they're doing well, but they are older, that's the point. Mesar and Beck are 18, like Slaf. they need to play junior hockey imho.

Farrell will likely join the Habs after his season.

jfc, I'm not saying they should insist on giving them ice time if things don't work out, every player is different, and there is a potential that it becomes a very positive NHL experience for them to build on. bygones, or whatever.

yeah, let's just hope the already insanely long injury list doesn't keep growing, it's getting ridiculous, I think it's even worse than last year lol.
