Found out about Kirkland this morning, I wonder if that affected them somewhat because they were all bad. Not that they were going to beat the Bruins anyway but the Ducks looked disinterested the more the game went on. Fortunately, it doesn't look like his injuries were too severe. He lies his ass off ... 1st to Gibby about the rebuild .. then about the Xmas / New Year find their bearings.. Oh and let us not forget the tank talk and how he doesn't subscribe to that... which we all know is complete BS.

At least Mason looks good and not overwhelmed in the 1C spot.

If we where to win the lottery... my dream is to call Dallas and offer it for Robertson and Miro.. add some players and picks on each side to make it work or whatever.. but try and get those 2 guys with the #1 overall or even the 2nd or 3rd pick.

Funny, I'm starting to think the same thing, too. IF the Ducks get the first overall, there would be teams coveting getting Bedard. GMPV could probably get a top 2 defenseman, a scoring winger, and probably a lower-round draft pick. I'd do it! This team needs more than just one player, no matter how good he is. My brother is jonesing over getting Bedard. I ask him how good Edmonton is doing with McDavid AND Draisitl? One extremely gifted offensive player isn't going to help as much as a good defense will. The Ducks don't win the Cup without getting Chris Pronger. Defense wins championships.

Robertson is a 40 to 50 + goal scorer for the next decade with great speed and size and would be perfect on Mason's wing with TT on the right for the next decade.

Miro is Miro. A top 2 D man.

Any of the top 3 selections plus some leftover parts or even more picks to a team like Dallas who doesn't have a 1st this yr or a 3rd.

They also have 3 and 4 more years of Benn and Tyler and they desperately need younger guys even than what they have.

The Ducks would very much benefit from having a Claude Julien like coach. I hate Torts but he is doing more with much less in Philly.

You guys need a bit of patience. You have a pretty pool of prospects at forward and on defense.

The Ducks will be fine, it may just take a couple more seasons of some pain. You keep acquiring more young players and the rewards will be there.

You don't want to start rushing the process, or you end up like the Canucks.
