Only way they keep him is if they sign him before the TDL.
I am on the fence, but I think they will trade him.

ah (frank). for some reason they struggle almost as bad as the leafs trying to win a playoff round when they put on those damn jerseys. hopefully they'll be well-prepared and play a solid game at home.

if he doesn't have any major health issues lingering it's basically a win-win for the habs in Monahan's case, if they trade him it'll surely be for a nice return of picks and/or prospects, and if Hughes deems that the offers for him aren't really worth it then they always could sign him and keep him around, you definitely want guys like that on your roster to support and complement the kids in their development.

I do feel that one of Monahan or Dvorak (possibly both) will not be with the team come next October.
But trading Dvorak will be such a huge asset loss.... (frank) MB of overpaying.

yeah, I knew it was an overpayment at the time, as I wasn't expecting Dvorak to become crazy good all of a sudden with the habs, but I thought his contribution would be a tad more significant than what it has been, considering that he would play with slightly better players than in Arizona... in a way I feel it's a bit less of a loss though because it's the new management team that would be making that trade, they didn't have anything to do with Bergevin's lack of judgement. (but of course ideally they would try to it to recover as much as possible of what the team had to give up for him...). |

If they somehow manage to get an offer of a 2nd round pick I think they take it.

can't remember ever enjoying that poop, I find it ruins the fish and just ends up tasting like deep-fried batter.
