I like it more now than I did back in the 90’s when we sucked. I prob would have liked it more if Luongo got to where it throughout his career - we likely would have had a lot more success IMO.

I like it as a third jersey. The problem when they first made the change was that they were replacing the original crest. Do not agree with that. And the fact that the RAG Fans make fun it did not help.

However, as a third jersey it is fine. We live on a island where fishing is prominent. I think it has more meaning then the NY on the sweater. IMO.

It’ll be somewhat easier with Aho out. Canes have struggled to score this season, even when Aho is in the lineup. It should be that much harder for them to score tonight.

That said, I’ll predict an 8-6 Isles win. Two empty net goals for Lee.

They looked good in the 1st period...........slow and tired in the 2nd period. Hopefully, they find their legs for the 3rd period.

Bailey is (frank)kng awful. He's been good in the past but this year he's cooked

Watched after taping and going out to dinner.
6 of my top points:

1) First period both teams feeling out each other and the period even.
2) Second period and on the Canes controlled the neutral zone which in turn controlled the play.
3) Hoping the Islanders would come out strong in the 3rd and turn this around. Not to be. Canes played a totally controlled game which the schedule gave them. Isles played yesterday and the Canes waiting until Tuesday.
4) Canes played a game plan very similar to the Trotz coached Isles game.
5) kudos to Staal playing opposite Barzal. He won the competition and neutralized Barzal for the whole game. If you’re a Canes fan you’re happy if you’re an Islanders fan your pissed Barzal was shutdown by Staal and he scored a goal.
6) The Islanders were totally dominated by The Canes tonight plain and simple. 16 shots on goal isn’t going to cut it. Isles didn’t get to play their game tonight. Kudos to The Canes they played well and won.
