Thoughts after watching the game recorded after going out to dinner:
1) Romanov a monster tonight. Best game of the season.
2) Nelson with a huge game. (Should have traded him this off season while he had value.)
3) How the hell does Romanov get a fighting penalty after he’s mugged? ( Love this kid)
4) 4th line being together just gives this team a huge boost. They played well.
5) Barzal impressive and disastrous.
6) Lee was a handful tonight. Best game in a while.
7) Varly with a nice game.
8) Islanders played physical and was the hard to play against team we have known to love.
9)Statement game for The Isles in whole.
10) Herr Schwein and I called the win?

Great game last night putting up 6 goals against the Devils is no easy feat. Real test tonight against a well rested team especially with another loss to the lineup most likely.

The jersey sucks. They never should have brought it back. They never should have done it in the first place. I'm glad that fans are rejecting it (again). That said it has no impact on me being an Islander fan.

I’m not a fan either. I have a buddy who works for the NHL. When that jersey came out with that logo years ago he said it was the best selling jersey that year. Not sure how true that is but it seems some people like it. Probably more fans from other teams then Islander fans I would assume. Either way the complete outrage online is hysterical to me. If it were worn more then a third jersey maybe it would bother me but I can care less. As long as they win I couldn’t care whether they were wearing pink tootoos with purple bow ties or not.

I like it more now than I did back in the 90’s when we sucked. I prob would have liked it more if Luongo got to where it throughout his career - we likely would have had a lot more success IMO.

It’ll be somewhat easier with Aho out. Canes have struggled to score this season, even when Aho is in the lineup. It should be that much harder for them to score tonight.

That said, I’ll predict an 8-6 Isles win. Two empty net goals for Lee.
