It's the casuals. Eagles/Phillies fans who "root" for the Flyers that stumble upon tickets for 20 bucks.
Of course you will always have the STH who just can't let go. - Pelle31Forever
There sure are a lot of Flyers jerseys in the stands for it being a bunch or casual fans. |

Flag after flag 💤 😴 - THE EVIL WITHIN
Frustrating. They could be up huge.
With their earlier propensity for 2nd half lulls, I would have felt better with a larger cushion. |

Are the flyers worse than San Jose? I honestly don't know. It will definitely be difficult to be worse than Arizona, Columbus, Anaheim and Chicago and I expect some of those teams to sell off guys by the deadline. I think for the 5th worst spot it's between Philly, SJ, Buffalo, Ottawa and maybe Vancouver if they sell off some guys. - Aaron_85
The Flyers are worse than San Jose a number of San Jose loses are due to lack of effort. There's effort from the Flyers but they just suck |

How does the Flyers rebuild measure up to the Devils rebuild?
How does the Flyers losing 12 of their last 13 games measure up to the Devils undefeated November?
How does zero Cups in the last 47 years measure up to 3 Cups in the last 27 years?
How does Lindros' chin measure up to Stevens shoulder?
I'm so sick and tired of this franchise being perpetual losers. - PLindbergh31
well you know patrick is a stud compared to Hsichier
and York is lightning it up in the NHL while Hughes is rotting in the AHL

I’m with you, those bottom 4 should be locks. I’d like to believe Buffalo has a better season than we will, they should. Ottawa should be better, no idea about San Jose. Potentially major changes coming in Vancouver, could see them bottom out as well. - ClaudeFather
San Jose will probably look to deal at least EK and maybe meier if they can get a haul from him |

I thought you were suggesting that the only people going to flyers games were casual fans who got cheap tickets. Do people buy jerseys to wear to a game that they don’t really care about? It looks like a ton of people in the stands are wearing flyers gear. Maybe I just don’t get it. I just assume you’re a big fan of a team if you’re wearing their gear to a game. Why else would you have it? Don’t you have to be a pretty big fan to blow all that money on a jersey? I mean if you’re just a casual fan, only going to a game because its cheap why buy the gear? Especially for a team that’s been irrelevant forever. |

That Giants/Commanders tie might end up being a blessing in disguise too with how tight the division is. |

I wonder how much it is the players they draft vs their complete inability to develop anyone. Kjell Samuelsson needs to go and I don’t see his name brought up often enough. |

You don’t think JVR, Atkinson and eventually Allison will help? That’s 3 top 9 wingers. JVR has 5 pts in 6 games all on the pp. You don’t think he helps their pp?
Like it or not they will be somewhere between 10 and 15. If Selke was healthy they would be right below a playoff spot or fighting for one. You cant just discount losing 6 top 9 forwards. If they get healthy they will start winning games w this coach. However, it be nice if we can find a center to pass the puck. W Hayes on the wing and Selke hurt they having nothing down the middle. Nothing.
Also the d needs help. All of them - Joe Nardone
Funny you should say that. The Wild buzz blogger just said the Wild should talk to Fletcher to try to get Frost. The blogger said he would fit nicely into the Wild’s top six.

I was at the San Jose/Canucks game last weekend and watching a team lack effort and lose in person is much worse than watching at team that put in effort and lose |

Whats laughable is fans rooting for losses to get into a lottery for an unproven commodity. I watched the Oilers do that year after year...and they finally hit on McDavid...but how close are they to a cup? NHL draft is like MLB...rarely a sure bet. It's much more important to have good talent evaluation, and coaches who can develop that talent. I haven't seen Fletcher shine as GM, but believe Torts and staff can develop this team when young guys like Brink, Desnoyer, York, Gauthier, and Foerster are Flyers regulars. |

Connor McDavid will probably win a cup with Edmonton before the Flyers win even one more playoffs game. |

Soo you’d rather have the folks in place picking 7th overall rather than in the top 3? |
