Awful deal. Why do teams insist on paying 30+ year olds for 9 years.
Paying for past production never works.
He will be terrible in 3 years.

That's the question. What does this move prevent me from doing? If the answer is zero because the Yankees are going to act like the Yankees, then it's a great move. However, I also suspect this means i have no closer and Hicks and Donaldson are back. |

Judge 9yrs 360m resigns with the Yankees.Bad move, fantastic ballplayer but the Yankees could have filled some holes with good players for that. |

1. CBJ played last night. We're better than them. Time to put the hammer down.
2. Start UPL because the home fans should get Andy Friday night against Pittsburgh.
3. As always, bet the over. You won't win much, but you'll win.
Edit: the over's been moved to 7. That half goal hook is a lot. 8 goals is quite a bit even for a Sabre game.
2nd edit: Take the Sabres +110 to win in 60 minutes. Good return on what should be a rocking chair game.

When the Boss was alive, pretty much. His Son runs it a bit differently though. |

It depends on who the Sabres feel are the weaker opponent, because generally, that is who they dress Anderson against.

I think they're basing it solely on days off between starts and hard and fast rules like "Anderson will always start the first of a back-to-back where game two requires travel."
4 of his 10 were NJD, BOS, CAR, and DET. Clearly, they wanted Comrie to be the #1. With UPL it seems to be totally about where CA is physically. I would really like them to consider CA for home games. It might even help UPL in that he doesn't have to worry about mad fans if he's shakey. |

9 year contract to a 30 year old with injury issues.
Enjoy having two Gincarol Stanton’s on your team NY.
They are going to pay Judge and Stanton 80 mil combined per year for the next 5 years. |

That's great to hear. Dahlin, Tage, and Cozens have separated thenselves from an ability standpoint from everyone else. They're special players. I think we're in very good stead for the future if any of these three wear the C. - lacaprup
Power is in the middle of that mix too, imo.

The fact Craig Rivet had zero idea the Sabres were top 5 in the league in goals for.... how can anyone watch this team and not know they score? Sometimes his opinions are just out to lunch. Vanek and Peters needs to straighten him out or dump him. He can be very good telling stories, but his "research" is awful when he tries and talk numbers about almost anything. He holds that show back. One college intern could help him tremendously because he is very entertaining. |

Agreed. I made a promise to myself though at the beginning of this season I would make a special point not to talk about Power much at all this year. Dahlin showed me how wrong I was to be critical of any teen on NHL ice, especially at 20+ minutes of defense. I believe it also can be as bad to get wrapped up in them. At some point Power will have a few nightmares (he may even already have had one) but I will pass them all by this year. I'm content in owning his rookie card. |

They too often meander between viewpoints, even within the same show. Focus is an issue. |
