I hope it's nothing serious with Clutterbuck or Bailey. I guess we will see more Johnston for a few games. Let's hope there are no more injuries.

Also the espn broadcast is a flaming pile of dogpoop. The NHL should be ashamed of exploiting their fans this way.

Pretty coincidental that Bailey sat for Johnston for Flyers 2nd game. Is he REALLY injured? Was he injured when he sat out back to back games? He's either randomly getting a lot of minor injuries, or they're flushing 5 million down the bowl for a 4th liner who's only attribute is with no gloves on.

Per Lou: Palmieri on IR (retroactively), but not LTIR. Bailey and Clutterbuck day to day. Bardreau and Fasching called up. Holmstrom still here. Salo still in Bridgeport.

They called up guys that are fit to play a fourth line role and don't really fit into the future of this team. No point in calling Raty up to play 6 minutes a night or be a healthy scratch.

Id have thought Johnston should cover Clutter on the 4th, Holmstrom for Palmieri, and i guess Badreau for Bailey

The three that are out are at least reasonably replaceable. Not saying they won’t be missed but at least it’s not Nelson, Pelech, and or Dobson out. Our depth isn’t great and this is an example of that but if this team can’t rise above these injuries there’s zero hope for them to successfully make it through a season.

They're going to need those guys to get healthy quick though.

After this weekend the Isles have a brutal stretch of 9 games, 6 of which are on the road. STL/NJD/CAR/BOS/ARI/VGK/COL/NYR/FLA

Yeah that’s a rough stretch. Injuries are part of the season. They have to find a way to make it work. Though if we can’t overcome the losses of clutterbuck and Bailey we have bigger problems. Palmieri is a bigger loss imo.

Yup. They’ll be running the gauntlet of the league’s elite.

Fortunately only two of those games a divisional rivals. I don’t include Jersey to that tally, cause ain’t nobody catching them anyway.

Who’d have thunk that at the start of the season.

Still, I’m grateful that Holmstrom is getting a good look in the top 6.

Well to be fair he’s just another inconsistent fwd among a group of inconsistent fwds. He just brings more to the table imo. You could also argue that clutter brings more.

Im not buying the Devils hype. They're like the Leafs......built for the presidents trophy. I can't see them doing damage in the playoffs simply on young talent.

I thought 10 was looking promising until last game against the flyers. He was non existent....as were most of the forwards.

For what it's worth the 2 games I saw in Hershey Fasching was by far the best player on the ice that night. He scored their only 2 goals in the game I went to...

Raty did not play last B-port game. No clue why.

I'm an admitted conspiracy theorist......i feel like Lou is workin the phones

I find it odd that Bailey keeps sitting for an injury, yet never leaves a game. Raty is the prospect in said deal...

Amazing to me that you think Palmieri is a bigger loss than Clutterbuck. Clutterbuck kills penalties and is a huge reason that 4th line is able to play 12 minutes a game. He hits, cycles, clears puck out of d-zone and is consistent every single shift.

Palmieri scores once in a while on a rebound in front of the net.

I hope you are right but I doubt it.. Very talented youth in Hughes, Nico, Bratt, Sharangovich, and wood. Great signs in Hamilton, tatar, Huala, Palat, and Vanecek. doing all this with Palat hurt... got rid of some aging players in PK subban (and Palmieri).

At this point of the season I agree. They have a blend of up and comers and cup winning vets.

Very talented, but very young.....case in point is the Leafs. You don't just win in the post season on talent. Hughes is talented, but he's extremely cocky which I don't personally love.
